You folks are always griping about how we should respect our President, so now that Barack Obama is President Elect, will you be able to contain your hate and prejudice in order to show the due respect for your soon to be new President?

there are no right wingers and left wingers. we have been given labels by the dumbass media if we think a certain way or a agree or disagree with certain issues.

some people have their opinions.

some people don't think about the facts or even attempt to discover the facts.

some don't have the will to blast an extra few neurons in their brain to think about thinks in a more open matter.

some chose to not do their research and remain ignorant idiot sheeps.

some have their opinions on gays and abortions and that is fine and dandy.

some are still buried in their stupid pacified religion.

as far as D.C. goes, left wing right wings, same evil demented sick fowl.

Well, give Obama a chance to earn it. Some people on this forum have condemned him without even knowing how good a president he will be.

People were respectful of Bush until the Iraqi war and some of the legislation he has passed.

I've been called everything from a Communist to a Liberal. I'll be watching this administration just as close as I watched Bush. It's a change for the better but government accountability is something we should fight for all the time. Not once every four years. My respect for Bush was there until he proved he disearned it.

I have a question for you, seriously:

Why is it "a change for the better"?

What has Barack Obama done in his EXTREMELY limited government career to give you ANY reason to believe he's capable of changing ANYTHING?

Substance is MORE important than style!

Bush "stole" the election? That's "rich".

Al Gore has even said that Bush won Florida after his own people did a recount AFTER the election. He couldn't even carry his "home" state or it would have been a "non-issue". This is one of the great "urban legends" which has been repeated so often that the liberals in this country actually believe it was true...

And your point is?

If you are naive enough to think that only 1 party engages in these types of activity, you must have slept through American History class. Should we talk about JFK's win in 1960 because of Chicago/Daley/Illinois? Or the 108% Voter turnout in Philadelphia in the 2004 election? Or the busloads of African Americans taken to the predominantly white suburbs of St Louis to vote in 2000? If you take your rose colored glasses off long enough, there's plenty to see & read about BOTH parties engaging in election shenanigans. Should I mention ACORN & the influence of foreign contributions on this election?

I never said there was any prejudice on this particular thread - to the contrary.

BTW, respect is something you "EARN"!!!

Even though I voted for Gore and even given the fact that Bush stole the election, I still tried to show respect to him until the Iraq War.

I'm just sick of all the Obama bashing that's been happening, and he hasn't even started yet!
Please give him a chance and stop spewing hatred about him all over the internet!

What about the Ohio fiasco??

Are you talking about 2000 or 2004? Let's not try to merge the two together.

Have you heard of Diebold?
