Depending on your tastes, G. R. S. Mead can be interesting if you're looking to build up a historical view of the subject. His material is past copyright, so it's available for download, and reprints are only a few bucks.

It's 1900-style writing, which I kind of enjoy, especially with this subject, but it's not for everyone. Either way, his stuff is loaded with information, and it's what I'm working my way through these days.

i'd rather be burned at the stake by ruthless hateful war mongering christian red necks knowing what i knew was true to heart and true to the light beings at the end of my road. most of you idiot sheep will come to realize, after you die, that knowledge is as or more important than love. love is the underlying foundation of this wisdom, whereas knowledge the structure, that which is found to be a sturdy stoic fruit of understanding and growth, shining in its own glory.

If you have not read the Holographic Universe, then you haven't a glimpse of what i am wanting to come to understand and behold.

I'm not sure there are any good books on these subjects in the public domain. I'm sure there are fantastic books in private collections, limited editions, etc.

Re: anyone know of any good occult or metaphysical books?
anyhow, been looking into Blavatsky and Thoth but am not quite sure. there are the "greats" but i don't know what principals they were truthfully devout to. also, where to begin when going off the holographic universe. there are some really good science/meta physic books out there i'm sure. the question is, what do they offer for knowledge, for food to my soul, for rethinking and creating reality?

went to the website about 2 or 3 years ago and didn't really see what it was getting at. this is material, but what does it pertain for the growth of my soul?

why should i read it?

going off of Holographic Universe from Michael Talbot. i may just look at some of his bibs for starters on amazon or wherever. Stuff on OBE(out of body experience) and NDE(near death experiences) would be good for starters.

Idiots like to argue in circles, lacking the mental wherewithal to discuss things on a more honest, open level. Telling the OP he's going the wrong way, then playing stupid when he asks what you think is the right way is a pretty good example.

Anyway, Aaron, part of the problem with the Holographic Universe is it's such a great book, it's hard to find something comparable until you have an idea of which direction you want to head. Not too many books mix the science with metaphysics in the same way, most are either pretty rough going, or loaded with clear errors and misconceptions.

That's kind of why I suggested G. R. S. Mead, his works kind of focus more on historical items, looking into different ways the ancients viewed different aspects of spiritual thought. His works on Jesus are pretty mind-blowing, too, tearing down all sorts of walls that most other folks wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.

But, again, it's not for everyone, or everyone at a certain point. I suggest a trip to the library, see if they have anything on hand, too. Sometimes you get lucky, although many smaller libraries won't carry "controversial" books. It's free, and you often stumble onto older books you wouldn't be able to find other places.

For a more scientific bent, anything on bleeding edge cosmology should wander into occult territory, for no better reason than they're guessing about things they can't entirely observe or understand, which is just about the same thing occultists do.

Good luck, though, it's a rough road to travel in the beginning...

cool. great for those inclined into the medical fields. i don't think this is something i would want to try on people though ;)

Did you know that these figures of ancient Egypt with the dog head(anubis), croc head and all the others are of correct representations of those who have been seen in the afterlife. supposedly these figures exist in the afterlife symbolically, just like how symbolism is used today. there are beings in the afterlife who have different representations to them, like being half reptile, a bird, connoting different reasons as to why they are represented into a certain animal or a certain way. hm.

sorry for those whom i called idiot. i feel i should react when i feel my thread is being 'shit on', or worse, judging me.
