anyone else suffer from migraines? | |
mopar28m User ID: 553278 United States 11/18/2008 07:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | See a chiropracter, he/she will help a GREAT deal. My migraines started when I was 7. I had 5-7/month. I saw a chiropracter when I was 23, he got them down to 1 or 2 a month. When I get a migraine now, I go see him & 90% of the time, it is gone by the time I leave his office. vaccinefreehealth blogspot com The risk far outweighs any benefit as the risk will vary from child to child. facebook.com/graphixyourway |
Babe in a Bunker User ID: 551839 United States 11/18/2008 07:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You need a good pain killer, but don't use Excedrin... it's like taking a caffeine pill and it can make an already upset stomach even worse. If you don't have a prescription, all you can really do is just pop some tylenol, have a bit of caffeine (they say it's bad for a migraine, but it helps me) and go relax in a dark room. I can't take the prescription migraine medications, but I have tylenol 3 (it's tylenol with codeine). It works pretty fast if you have the opportunity to relax at the same time. Don't read, get off the computer, turn off the TV, dim the lights and try to rest. Migraines suck. I've had them for 20 years. Well it seems so real I can see it And it seems so real I can feel it And it seems so real I can taste it And it seems so real I can hear it So why can't I touch it? So why can't I touch it? Anonymous Coward User ID: 553308 United States 11/18/2008 07:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have the worst headache i have had in a long time. Have had them my whole life, even back in elementary school. Quoting: HanfeitzuI don't know what triggers them. Doctors have been no help. Their prescriptions don't do a thing. These headaches cause me to miss work, miss out on being with my wife and son... It's so bad I vomit and occassionally lose part of my vision. All I can do is lay in complete silence and darkness and TRY to sleep, but the pain keeps me awake. Even looking at the computer to type this is almost unbearable. Can anyone relate? What do you do about it? Quote: "anyone else suffer from migraines?" Only since they started spraying all this shit into the air, about 10 years ago. It's REALLY sucked, ever since. |

Check your eating pattern... and monitor the amount of sugar you consume. In my case, my blood sugar level was causing it. Eat organic, stay away from white bread (which isn't even bread). Stay away from refined anything. Long story short... if man made it, don't eat it. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 554095 United States 11/18/2008 08:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah me, for years, and my kid, elementary - who is down with one now in fact. The chiropractor is the trick..we haven't been able to get in for two months..but that's the solution for many. Those vertabrae below the skull can get out of place and it pinches the nerves. Now she can tell when they are out of place.. having finally had them in the RIGHT place for a change , to tell the difference. You won't realize how much pressure there is in your spine until it's released at some point, then you can feel the difference. You should really give it a try, as soon as you can manage. Even if you don't have any insurance, an adjustment is usually around 30 dollars, if not less. |

TEXAS UNCENSORED User ID: 554056 United States 11/18/2008 08:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | From infancy. I'm a seismic sensitive. You might be also. Here is my migraine website, lots of good information & a few tips, [link to www.migraineonlinehotline.bravehost.com] I predicted seismic activity with my migraines steadily for almost 20 years. I'm not as regular with it as I was a couple of years ago. But, once a month or so I update. Problem is, when a bad one hits, I can't stand being at the puter, so often the updates don't happen. It's a good website anyway. [link to www.futurequake.bravehost.com] What I do know is that Tylenol is not a fix for migraines. Excedrin Migraine is up to a point. I like it better than presription meds. But, it can be hard on the tummy, so a little milk before taking a couple helps. Make sure you take them right before eating, so they get in your bloodstream fast, and you'll have something on your stomach to help prevent irritation. |

Hanfeitzu (OP) User ID: 533138 United States 11/18/2008 08:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thanks for all the input everyone. Hopefully I can sleep it off tonight, and tomorrow I will be looking into these suggestions. I know for sure I want to stay away from prescriptions... and tylenol just doesnt cut it for me. I don't trust big pharma companies. If anyone else has something to add, by all means keep it coming. Those without swords may still die upon them. No one man can do everything, but each one can do something. |
