lol... that dumb thread has riled a lot of people up.

There was another guy who made a thread about having Hannibal banned for the thread.

I am against censorship but when you look at what the mods do ban, it is surprising to see that thread alive and thriving. All the mods seem to care about are their precious egos. It seems to be completely arbitrary what is considere out of bounds and what is not.

One thing you can never dare to do is criticize or question a mod, even if it is in a completely non-personal way.

I did that yesterday - it didn't work.

This is not a christian site - I understand that. I understand why so many people are angry about religion and angry with christians. That particular thread is a disgrace. The person who started it had nothing intelligent to say and no point to make.

The mods here are slipping. I made a payment in October and spent a week trying to get them to upgrade my account. I went ahead and cancelled it. I will never try this again. GLP is becoming a haven for bashers and haters. I'm not even sure "regular people" can become members anymore. I have my theories, but it doesn't matter.

At this point, it's free entertainment. Sometimes you find a decent thread/useful information.

He lost a few points there, but you are too. We have free will given to us by Jesus Dad God. If he did not striked him down, well, who are you. They are must likely getting a real laugh at how creative we have become we our blasphemy.

I was going to post something else here, but I changed my mind.

I also find the thread offensive, but not because of any godlikeness or Jesusian principles on my part (I'm not a Christian). I think the thread simply does more than strain a sense of decency, it crosses the line of decency...it even strains the line of what is indecent, and delves into a field of vugarity.

And, yes, I know about overlooking the thread title on the forum home page, and not reading the thread, both of which I do, but still, the thread fully and completely lacks any kind of human decency.

I have no investment in GLP beyond posting, so what I think carries no weight. It's extreme cases like this vulgar thread that makes me wonder if GLP Admin has a bone of better judgement, aka discernment, in their body.

Yeah, yeah, I know...I should go get my own web page and forum group if I don't like it... hopefully I won't get banned for speaking my mind.

Don't worry about it too much. Though it is good to take a break from here now and then to preserve your sanity and recoup or research other things to bring to the table here. :)

Yes, but it is hypocriticaal that it is allowed to exist when they like to delete threads for such trivial reasons as "we have too many gay threads", or b/c they consider it a crap posty if you ask a question like "Would you rather be taller or have a larger Penis"?

I don't expect everyone to believe. I don't expect everyone to exhibit the same level of respect for God either. But the thread title is so gross, so insulting, and so over the top then I make mention that I don't like it.

If a person titles a thread with an offensive topic then they have to expect reaction. I said I didn't like it and I don't.

To use your example, There are bigots on this board. There are Jew haters. They could care less about them and think they are on the same par as rumplestiltskin. I don't expect all the bigots and racists to respect blacks and Jews. But if one of them posted something about masturbating over their burned, hanging and lynched body then I'd expect reaction. Same-same. You can differ about who to respect or not but there are limits. I am doing my part to point out where the limit is for me.
