I am performing my first wedding December 26th.
Yes, I am ordained to do so. I just never used my crudentials for this.
I need some good verses on marraige and unity to ready before I pronounce them man and wife. I want it to be sweet ....not too lengthy.......
generally there is just some basic bable I say but I wanted to ad a meaningful verse.
Thanks in advance for yor help.

I had this read at my wedding. Its one of my favorites, and has stayed with me.
1 Corinthians 13 (New International Version)
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor, and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
Ane now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. |

"Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity."
PUT ON LOVE . . . . Hmmm . . . sounds like love is a choice . . . not that gooshey feeling that might wane over time
and 1 Corinthians 6:18
"flee the whoredom; every sin -- whatever a man may commit -- is without the body,"

I also had the story of Ruth and Naomi read.
Part of a longer promise of fidelity, spoken by Ruth to Naomi, her mother-in-law. The longer text reads: “Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if aught but death part thee and me.” |

You have obviously never read the Bible, nor do you have a Strong's Concordance. The word "infidel" appears only in two verses, and the quoted verse is not one of them.
Besides, how in the hell do you find a virgin with child???? |

FYI anyone can be ordained. I can marry, I can burry, I can Bless, I can baptise.......
In exception for the catholic church...which ..really does not hurt my feelings much anyway.... my signature is just as good as the justice of peace on a marriage certificate.
You obviously have never been to a Las Vegas wedding.

correction ....I have read much about my religion amoungst other things my preference is not your book....my father has some sorta an End Times Ministery thing as well so I am not blind to your scrutiny......you see bitter individuals like yourself is a primary reason why I chose the path I did ...with God, as I understand him.....there are parts of the bible I have acutally found intriguing
...though have not read the book all the way through ....nor do I ever give the impression that I have.....I think I made that clear.
The Bible or book you worship is not my prime choice no.....but you are no one to judge me as ...your book teaches......so please feel free to put your head back up you butt and continue to be blindly led.
Like I said, this is for a friend......I do not make money off of this as your pastor or minitster probably would ....your shallow minded statment only proves your religion has not done you spiritual justice....good luck on your search for goodness. I pitty you .
