Complete and total BULLSHIT. There is absolutely nothing in turkey that is harmful, let alone fatal to dogs. Except the cooked bones, they can splinter.

And just to be truthfull here, any human food can kill your pet. It's not good for them, calorie wise, and healthwise. And it can / will give them diabetes. Our dog had diabetes when he got older, had to give him 2 shots a day till he died. And we were told by the vet it was all the human food we gave him that put him in the situation he was in. I learned long ago, that giving your pet human food is not a good idea.

my grandma/grandpa had many dogs back in the day, fed them all kinds of left overs from their plates, and their dogs lived VERY LONG lives...I remember one little dog they had that was 19 when he died! Ate almost nothing but people food.

That's horse shit too. Most "human" food, I'm not talking about the the prepackaged crap full of chemicals, I'm talking stuff like turkey, which dogs eat in the wild won't hurt them.

You think dogs have eaten nothing but man made dog food since the beginning of time (dog food has turkey in it btw)? No, they ate wild animals. Like turkey, chickens, cattle etc...

Total BS, a trukey leg bone is harmless for a dog. Maybe the smaller sinewy bones are bad, but I like to give my dog a bone with some meat on it.

This statement is pure bullshit. Trying to say that the canned wet food is not "real food". Try reading the ingredients list for once, I bet within the first 5 listed on a TURKEY can will in fact be TURKEY. BTW, humans and animals are NOT THAT DIFFERENT as far as food needs go. We need proteins, fats, calories and all that good stuff, just like our pets. Cats are only different because they NEED taurine from their food because they cannot produce it like most other animals can. Guess where taurine comes from? ORGAN meats like livers, kidneys and hearts of human foods like TURKEY.

I am sure giving your pets a load of sugars is not a good idea, and there are foods to be avoided like chocolate and coffee but as far as "human foods" like beef, turkey, chicken etc that is pure bunk, unless you deep fry everything that is.

I feed my cats home cooked food once in a while along with their canned wet food and they are happier and healthier than when we were feeding nothing but the cheap ass dry foods.

Diabetes in animals and humans alike aren't just caused by foods you know, sometimes that just happens to be genetic and gets passed down.

yeah right, my chichuaua eats what I eat and he loves turkey. He gets it every year at Thanksgiving and Christmas, then, together, we curl up and take a nap. It's great!

All the sticks, pieces of bark off our firewood, grass, his rawhide bone, more sticks... lol

My dog used to be real fussy about his dog food but would scarf down the first road kill that he came across. I was tempted to drive over his food to get him to eat it.

Average farm dog. Gets rabies shot with a booster every so often, that I administer myself. Never sees veterinarian unless deathly sick. Eats dead animals, big bags of dry dogfood, I have even seen my dog eat shit in the steer yard. Will eat corn, soybeans, grass, weeds, and anything else they can find that tastes good to them. They love household scraps that can contain any kind of leftover foods. The only time he comes in the house is when it is real cold out, and I feel sorry for him to stay in his dog house. The average life of my farm dogs has been 15-20 years.
