Quoting: Bob™This crisis is several days old, and it has been resolved (at least for now). e.g., Citigroups's stock has more than doubled since then. Old/obsolete news. you have not read the article, it says, eventhough there was a bailout, citigroup will shut down. |

mopar28m User ID: 559866 United States 11/27/2008 10:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I saw Congressman Tom Latham Tuesday at Staples in Ames. I asked him what he thought of the bailout of Citigroup & the bailouts in general. He said "they are crazy". I then told him how Citigroup was riping off the mortgage holders with convenience fees of $10 to pay our mortgage online. He said this was definitely something he was going to check into. Anonymous Coward User ID: 278642 United States 11/27/2008 10:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How can they explain it when the bailout equals the national debt? I mean, if they could create 9+ trillion over a year, then they might as well just print another and pay off the debt. Wait, I always thought that the debt was in the hands of the banks like citigroup., So if we pay them back their money that we owe, doesn;t that give them the money they need to survive? |
