Had a nasty go around with some astral serpents a few years back. Lasted over about a 1 month period, cats would freak out. I don't know how much protection they were. But sometimes when I sit on my bench, my 2 cats will get up on either side of me and sit in their proud pose, motionless, and time stops, almost like we are guarding each other as gods, watching eternity roll by.

Stray cats come to me off the street if I call them. Even feral ones let me pet them and will run from others. Does that make me evil? I have dog owners tell me "My _______ can sense bad people."
