I'm listening to Pink Floyd already -

He's looking a bit old now -, but the raw emotion and concentration during that amazing guitar rift is just magical.

He is a master.

Pink Floyd has always been one of my all time favorites. I listened to some of the wall album the other night and I have to say, it getting old man.

But the thing is there is nothing new that even comes close.

Ain't that some shit!

Seems like most of the new stuff I hear is a bunch of groups of talentless hacks.

AN amazing thing is I met him once. Just as down to earth as can be. He is a history nut and can tell where his grandfathers second niece is buried.

Oh yeah, he has a slight problem with his eyes now too. They are slightly askew.

That's the way I saw it and I didn't ask. He did all the talking. I wanted to say a few thing but hey! He was on a roll. I couldn't get a word in edge wise.

Wow! I'm sitting here remembering the conversation, he had a lot to offer! More than I care to give. But I have to say he is wide open! Like some one who just wants to talk.

It was cool, I met him in a parking lot and didn't even know it was him until he said a few thing that let me know for sure.

He wore my ear out for at least thirty five minutes.

All you Gilmore fans check this out. He is playing his Strat SN#0001. The part at 4:40 sends chills down the spine. Truly his best solo,,,ever.

God man he was wearing burmuda short and driving an old pick up truck. this is the fucking truth. Like I said down to earth and as far as I know he lives right down the road.

Animals is quite underated in my opinion. I love Dogs - what a great music experience when you're stoned.

I just saw the documentary "Who's Pink?" on VH1 (quite a long complicated story)...I loved "Metal" era Floyd, and the live footage at the ruins...Gilmore was using the echoplex and wah then, now he's using the digital version and a Whammy pedal at the end of phrases. Just as talented and skilled as ever just different times. This isn't his first lifetime as a musician. He and Floyd were masters of delay effects...delayed bass especially was a floyd thing. They jammed live on BBC radio to the live feed video of the first moon walk. What a gig!

Gilmore put out an album this year. They had one reunion at Live Aid (the climax) and it was super...but the rift between Roger Waters and the others is deep, he's seen as a jerk and who needs him. The keyboard player died last summer. The floyd drummer is still kicking, but pf is over. There's an Australian cover/recreation band that tours with the whole lazer show and sells out big halls. They are unlistenable imo.
