True to a degree...but missing a few important points...plankton aren't like farm plants. You can scoop up 90% of them, and hours later, you'll have the same levels as before. You're never going to scoop up 90% of them, unless you somehow overload the ocean with filter feeders.

If anything, the real threat is wiping out the large filter feeders and having an abundance of plankton that chokes out other life.

Plankton exist in raindrops...they're not going away anytime soon.
