Sleep Paralysis and OBE's.
Hey all!

I've literally just signed up cos i need answers!
I'm a 24 year old male, healthy, no crazy medical records, fit, and enjoy my life.

Recently i experimented with drugs for the first time in my life, i had a great time and am happy to say i do not feel the urge to try them again. i'm one of those people who after trying something and getting a buzz i am quite happy and dont feel the need to go further down the road.

However, after this weekend of trying MDMA, ECSTACY, ACID and COCAINE, i was unsure of what kind of come down i would get. The drugs seemed to have very little effect after the first night(thursday), and seemed like i was chasing the experience i got on the very first night for the next 2 (friday and saturday, and the reason i am no longer interested).

The real and most interested experience has been my sleep paralysis.

On Monday, i came home from the gym feeling only a little tired in my legs from the weekends dancing, i fell asleep on my sofa for about 3 hours. During these hours i had the most fantastic, surreal, vivid, lucid dreams i have ever had in my life, like i was no longer in my body and i was out far away meeting different people and feeling so real. I would have maybe about 5 of these dreams before finally getting up off the sofa to continue my day.

Each time i woke from the dreams, i couldnt quite believe that i was still on my sofa, everything felt so real and i actually thought i had been away somewhere else. Not at all scary, just magnificent!

However, i have not been able to recreate this experience, but for the last 2 days had a number of sleep paralysis encounters. I have not been scared by any of them (i think around 7 altogether), but often a little worried that i might not wake up.

Today i experienced an OBE (outer body experience) where i floated up out of my bed, and drifted along the ceiling into the next room! I did not look back on myself, so i dont know if it was an actual outerbody experience.

Others include being in bars, standing next to speakers, sitting on airplanes etc etc. Really really cool stuff!

What i would like to know from this thread, is other peoples experiences with this, how you feel when you are in the dream, what kind of effects or sounds happen, and if anyone has perfected the OBE experience?

I have read many websites already before coming to the forum, and they all seem pretty good.

My last dreams have become blurry before the paralysis kicks in, i hear louds sounds and often my face feels squashed and uncomfortable before the OBE's start, i would like to be able to control them and find out how far i can take these experiences!

Many thanks
sleeper (OP)

Re: Sleep Paralysis and OBE's.
Hi. I've had this stuff happen to me since I was a child. I know what you mean when you say how real it is. I don't often talk about it to anyone because it's very uncommon - at least off the Internet and trying to talk about it face-to-face without being ridiculed or disheartened in some way, as I have found.

Sometimes they are more real than here and now. Anyway, just a response to you. I don't know what to think about it. The mind is a very powerful thing.

Re: Sleep Paralysis and OBE's.
i have only experienced the paralysis part

i try to induce that state as i think it is the last step before an OBE

its a bizarre feeling lying on the bed and unable to move my limbs.. sensory feeling is gone, replaced by a 'electrical' vibration type feeling

its cool stuff!

Re: Sleep Paralysis and OBE's.
Well sounds like you are on your way to controlling them. Don't give into fear, everything leading up to the OBE is normal.Paralysis, pressure, vibration and the "pop".

If you can do it clear minded and sober you will have complete contol. It is limitless the possibilities.
Remember you do have a guide with you at all times.
Have fun. People meditate and fast for years to get where you have gone.
