Not going say who is wrong,but we have past the point of no return in Global Warming,then we go in to Global cooling, what you say is happening,and if right with the cooling then the earth has 3 years before we go back in to a iceage, i watched a BBC TV documentary few months back on this cooling event and they went on to drill ice cores that showed how fast the cooling was after the point of no return was reached, and it was 3 years and in the cores this showed up every time in earth history,so this year 2008 was stated we past the point of no ruturn so would say some time in 2011 we go into a iceage.

Just because some parts of the earth get colder like the north eastern US and Europe doesn't mean they get to cancel out the rest of the global temp rise.

I think the oscillations are more pronounced.

1. it was wrongly labeled "global warming"

It has all been worked out,unless they are telling lies and we are in the last year of cooling,what i would like to know where are all the people going go will the world goverments tell us to move on out or just save themself and to fuck with the common people,the later may well be right.

I live in one of those fringe areas so I can say that our region has had an acute temperature shift. We have been, and there is little that can be done, in a severe drought for the last 20 years with no solution in sight. And the extremes of temperature hot/cold have been quite pronounced.

This has affected the blooming of crops and the flowering of certain plants out of season or out of sync. It's weird.

Here is more,it has nothing to do with what the humans have done to make all this happen,the earth changes every so often,and you see now she/earth is well past her time to change again she/earth is thousands of years over, and this event iceage is dew anytime now.

The climate changes 4 times a year. It's called SEASONS.

In Sydney this year, we have gone from 10 degrees celcius to 32 degrees C. A variation of 22 degrees in 7 months.
The city didn't implode or get levelled by tsunamis or earthquakes.
The sky didn't fall in and we weren't reduced to ash because of solar flares.

The earth has handled many more extremes of weather than what we have or will ever experience and it has/will survive long after we've gone.

Yeah, we can do our bit by using less plastic, use more recyclables and do more recycling, small things that all add up when it's practiced globally.

Now i am not telling lies,keep this and tell the world,you see if Global Warming kept going then the earths built in valve used as a divertorof earths death kicks in,this is called the gulfstream or North Atlantic conveyor belt that controls weather patterns around the earth,what stops it fresh water it would dilute sea water stop conveyor,but the twist is past the point on no return back to iceage frezze the fresh water,then she/earth will do it all over and over again,now that is wicked eh.

The US has been hit by several intense ice and snow storms over the last decade.

Whereas before tropical heat was moved north by ocean currents, ice caps melting are hold it further south. The heat now travels north by weather systems and winter storms are increasing. Thus the cooling begins and a feedback mechanism kicks in.

This will happen both north and south hemisphere.

Major ice ages have been preceeded by soaring temperature peaks for at least the last million years and at least ten times in succession.

So every one who likes some real DOOM then this is it if the valve dont work,then North Atlantic Conveyor stops working then every living thing on earth dies(fact)and earth is another dead planet.

oh c'mon, isn't it obvious? High energy prices caused people to be more frugal about what they did over the last few months. Now we're paying the price, we haven't been heating the earth properly like we had been, and now it's payback time.

I know where i am, it's far cooler than it's was a couple years ago. Same with last year. A couple years ago it was raining in january (unheard of) and 60 degrees F. This year it was 15 degrees F in mid-October. Snow's been on the ground since early November, hasn't melted off like normal. A couple years ago we didn't get long-lasting snow until December, and it didn't get below 30s until the last week of December.

Plus, we only had 3 days above 100 degrees this summer, normally it's more, broken up through July/August.

Granted, this is Michigan, it's supposed to be cold, and the weather is more like it was in the 70s, definitely not global warming weather. Again, this is the second year of "more normal" weather.

And I was looking forward to global warming, too...

IMO we are warming up but I think it's the Sun not C02, the Sun looks brighter to me and feels hotter on my skin, burn times for me are now minutes not hours.

I've noticed that too, but I'm wondering if maybe the sun doesn't vary in it's wavelengths every so often. It might be brighter, and you might sunburn more, but the earth actually cooling because we're getting more UV light, and less infrared heating.

Or maybe I'm just getting older, but yeah, it seems a lot more intense than when i was a kid.

The earth is on average warmer by something like 0.4c, that doesnt mean winters will be warmer.

Let's see, if I were to formulate some kind of guess I'd think something like since the average air's warmer, it rises faster (hot air rises and all that), drawing even more artic air down to replace it, or something like that
