The weatherman on TV on all the local channels have been...

Dunno bout where you are but there's no jets around here to put such clouds up there, so that doesnt really hold up. On the other hand who knows if those clouds are a result of something else, some kind of atmospheric reaction to something perhaps

When they mention these terms and phrases they usually put the word "those" before them in the sentence...like this: "We'll be seeing those high, thin type clouds today"
or "Thosehigh thin clouds will be seen from time today, sort of filtering the sunlight"

It has that sound to it like when people say "you people".

Why dont they just say "high thin clouds" are in the forecast?

What would it sound like if they said "We'll be seeing those cumulous clouds today?
They never use this combo...never. Nor do they use the phrase "from time to time" when talking about cumulus(natural) clouds.
Cirrus rarely happens naturally in this area any longer. In this area , "cumulus" is exclusively man made.

The funny thing is that when the skies were a daily fucked up mess without relent, they did not mention them at all, nor would they address the multiple sundogs and multiple rainbows and halos that accompanied them, but now after a year of incredibly clean air days and a very long run of consecutive days of fluffy cumulus, we are now getting a full on assault beginning thanksgiving and they are now "addressing" these cloudsthat are blatantly obvious in contrast to the rest of this past year...something that cannot be said of more than of especially the last decade and even beyond.


Why?

The weather anchors have said things like, " We don't know what they are doing up there",or before a front "they are coming in ".

After a really strange sky day, the morning anchor with a chuckle said, the et's were driving the storm, and ufo's up there.

...talking about the "high thin type cirrus" clouds for the last week and a half.
They have been mentioning this phrase and other variations in nearly every delivery of the forecasts. They sound awkward when they mention these clouds.
The thing is, the clouds are coming from jets. Why don't they just say that?
What are they avoiding?

They mentioned over and over how the high thin cirrus cloud cover would be moving in and act as an "insulation" positively affecting the conditions over the area two days before the predicted rain as far as severe weather was concerned.
It rained heavily.
They said that just before the last heavy rain event and they have just said the same again for the upcoming week.
