Ive had both as a kid ...the cats were wwaayyy smarter than the dog. They are also the only animal that knows the "F" word.
I loved bill cosbys bit on the two: the dog he asked to get his paper, do this do that, and then hollors at the dog and the dog says "yes masta, what else can I do huh, huh"
One day he tells the cat to fetch the paper and the cat opens one eye half way and says "what! me? Get it yourself"
Does anyone have a copy of that email piece that is the cats diary?? It is roll on the floor good. The one that has entries like "Today I threw up a furball just to irritate them..." "Tuesday, today I left a cat toy on the stairs but 'They' are still alive" and so on. |

Let me tell you what I'm going through right now.
Ok first of all I have two tom cats. Usually no problem. One is older and one is a year old.
It's the "little one" that's knocking my socks off. He does his business in the litter but even so, the smell is so freaking bad it will wake me up at 4 in the morning.
So I have to fucking get up and clean the litter box because the smell is gagging me from across the hall, through the master bed room and into the master bath (just to give you a clue) So I scope it up and flush it down and spray the house with bleach water(it works)
By the time I've done all that I so god damned pissed off there's no way I will ever get back to sleep.
Any way! Here's what just happened. Recently my basement flooded. There was absolutely no cat odor there until the water hit it! Now !!!-,,,-!!! the entire house has been fumigated with tom cat stench. It's been a week now and that shit aint going away.
I have so much of other peoples crap in storage down there, there is now way to find their little stink bombs.
Aww ain't they just so sweet and cuddly. Fuck em I half wish they were dead.
I'm ashamed to let friends and family come into the house. I don't think it's to good for my health either. |

Case in point: A CHRISTMAS DOG/CAT STORY (TRUE)
When I was about 7 one Christmas, it was bitterly cold. Maybe -25. Our house, like most res houses was a stick built wood frame, not very big, heated by wood or coal and with an army blanket hung to block off the small front room. Thank God, no running water or frozen pipes would be a nightmare.
We had a long hair grey cat who ruled the place. She never messed in the house. She would tell us when she needed to go outside. Mom was diabetic and had cold feet so she needed the cat to sleep on her feet at night which Queenie did. Other wise she slept under the woodburning cook stove where i could roll pieces of liver to her at mealtimes since I hated it. She never had a litter till 8 years old and only had two beautiful kittens...so cute a customer of my dads cabinet making shop stole one!! Right, who steals a cat.
well this christmas, our little dopey beagle mix dog dad had "won" in a poker game was out in the box on the closed in porch shivering under an old jacket. there were still 5 of us kids at home and we all felt sorry for him and begged my mom to let him in. We were getting ready for Midnight Mass and I had on a borrowed satin gown because the first grade got to carry the cows, sheep and lambs to the Christmas manger scene that nignt. She and Dad didnt want any animals in the house but as we were aabout to leave she looked out at the poor little mutt and said ok, let him in just for overnight.
I could see the cats head pick up "what the..." she began to fake - run down the hall. The linoleum was highly washed and waxed and the blanket down for Christmas week and the tree with g.grandma and grandmas ornaments on it sparkled at the end (no presents yet, of course).At the same time, the door was opened and mom said, "Bi-indigaan, Mushaa", Chippewa for come in, sweetie. He didnt because he was struck dumbfounded. She repeated it, louder and he jumped in tail wagging, he spots the cat, lops down the hall after her, realizes he's going to fast, tries to stop, piling the home made rugs up under him on the slippery linoleum and crashes right up into the tree, knocking it and its prescious bulbs right over.
Mom came down the hall with a broom (her weapon of choice dealing with the animals and my brothers) and I threw myself over trembling little Mushaa, who promptly peed all the pile of rugs and my satin robe...The cat, meanwhile was laughing her a--off at the dog getting in trouble which she deliberately caused.
The dog got to stay and poor mom and we girls melted snow for hours the day after to wash everything. |

This is true. They say people look like their dogs, like you end up looking like your significant other.
There's an older couple on this street who resemble each other- they even wear 'matching' outfits. Hmmm- too cheesy for me but hey, to each their own. They walk a pair of wire haired terriers, (so now you know what the humans look like!)
