Why aren't there any black Santas in the malls?

I have seen Santas of all colours, but snowman is always white.

I dont know about now but growing up in the 80's in an urban neighborhood, I never saw a black Santa, and to be honest, if I had, I probably would have been taken aback.

I suppose it depends on the racial mix where you live or the mall customers but rest assured, there are many black santas in my area. Also ringing the bell for Salvation Army and so forth.

Birmingham, AL, is about 80% black so we have all that all worked out years ago. Simply take your kid to see Santa when he is the same ethnic group as you are. No problem and everybody is happy.

If you arrive and Santa is not a match, just come back another day or shift. Tell the kids the line is too long or some such should you arrive at the wrong time.

Of course many just don't really care in the first place.
