You can also say that it was also the land of the philistines since earlier biblical times and for more of the period than it was Judea or Israel etc.
You could also say that Palestinians had legal land titles when the Jews began descending by the tens of thousands/month after WWII and stole the land.
There are so many things that you could say to justify a genocide.

I already wrote the essay you request half way down on Page 15, (which no one at GLP has ever reputed,) as to why SHR is only using half the story and what the rest of the story is.
What I have said is only a portion of the story of the deceit between the Israel and the Canaanites:
1. Isaac is blessed by the God to multiply his seed. Gen 26:24
2. Isaac and the Canaanites swore to have peace between them after dispute over water wells. Gen 26:31
3. Jacob stole Esau's birthright. Gen 27 Jacob fled to Iraq for more than 20 years and married 4 Syrian (28:5) women.
4. Jacob kept the best cattle for himself while giving his father-in-law the feebler ones. Gen 30:42 31:1 Laban changed wages 10 times 31:42
5. Covenant with Laban the Syrian. Gen 31:44
6. Esau met Jacob with 400 men and could have wiped him out and taken his flocks, but instead greeted him and welcomed him back. Gen 33:4
7. The Bible says that Jacob claims that this god was now giving to HIM exclusively all the land that this same god had given to Abraham's seed (8 sons) and to Isaac's seed (2 sons). Gen 35:12 What kind of god changes his mind and takes the inheritance promised to ten and gives it to only one?
Remember that the Bible was written by the descendants of Jacob.
Nowhere will you find that any of the Palestinians make the same claim that God gave the land Canaan only to the Israelis.
Read your Bible and see how Jacob and his family leave Canaan for 400 years and then come back and want it ALL.
So I stand by my original statement. This is a religious war backed by false gods, ie. the Gods of War, Greed, and Lust. It is time to get the US out of the Mid East and quit backing these deranged religious nuts on all sides.

If I may advise on scenarios which are beyond my purview I would counsel that the defeat of Israel as a nation is necessarily impossible yet that provides neither reason nor justification to unnecessarily abuse a position that was hard-won. We do all, of course, grieve for the loss of Palestine which was, in its day, a fine state in its own right.
What is more possible is functioning in relation to the interaction in a way which allows for mutual embarrassment or mutual cooperation.
It is of course to be recalled that Israel is not special in this regards nor the first nation state to attain such a secure status. History does nevertheless record that even such a state can experience vulnerability and be convinced of both the reality and necessity of alternative modes of international and local-area interaction.

I would like to suggest that the best solution to the Israeli Palestinian problem might be for the US to annex the whole friggin area, declare it the 51st state, and be done with it.
The republicans will love this as they are sure to pick up two seats in the senate and however many congressional seats seven million citizens gets.
The dems will love this because they will be able to quit pretending to be an ally of Israel and just openly genuflect without fear of angering the independents.
The taxpayer will love this because we will finally get something for the billions upon billions of dollars we have pissed away propping up a failed nation...
that being a potential place to dump our nuclear waste.

Let me just say something here. I see that many here have a personal stake in this conflict and they are willing to compromise their decency. We all know that history is written by the victors and none of you know more than what you have read and learned from the words of others. For anyone to say that Israel is completly right and has done nothing to deserve contempt from Arabs is idiotic and narrow minded. Just like in Iraq and Africa and a slew of South American countries, seemingly decent people will turn a blind eye to the suffering of others using whatever excuse they can.
I have never hated anyone because of their beliefs but I find it hard to not hate people who do not live in this country but call for the deaths of people there. Once again I am ashamed to see how very little you all think of HUMAN life. I love the way you monger for war as if that were what your god would want. Just like in Iraq the killing just breeds the very thing you fight against. I hope evryone of you who would never consider that innocent people are MURDERED in your fight feel the true pain of war. May it visit you in your fucking home may you see your community destroyed by thugs murderers and theives. I pray you know true horror the kind you would willingly see your fellow man go through.
You are not safe war will find you who clamor for it. I hope you get to see what a starving child looks like up close you sick fucking worthless excuses for human beings.
