I think you are making this mistake, OP. You think people who do not believe in God HATE God. But this is not true. How can we hate something that doesn't exist? It is impossible. Now, people, they are quite easy to hate, especially when they pretend to love you but they say you are going to hell unless you become exactly like they are. Now those types of people are easy to hate. God is imaginary, make believe, non-existant, invisible, and THUS, impossible to hate. Wouldn't you agree?

Yep, they believe: "As man is, God once was.....as God is, man may become."


But if you stop and think about it: "man" as per definition, can NEVER be "God".......for God is God, and man is man!

It just seems from some of the discussions on GLP many of the people who do not believe in a Higher Power are still trapped in some child like fable about a heavenly father that watches over us and protects us from harm. of course such a belief will certainly lead to disillusionment. God is not some superhero entity that protects humanity from harm. such a god does not exist.
