Try pressing control-h, this should bring up the history tab in either IE or FireFox.

I typed ctrl H and it just gives me the sites I visited today.

Click on the History button...or tools then, toolbars and then history. Just depends on what your toolbar carries really.

Did someone else use the computer after you last night. They may have erased history. Or, (I don't know if this is possible) but your computer may be set up to automatically erase history on a daily basis.

How do we get to a list of temporary internet sites visited on Vista? THis would be the same as viewing History and I know I was able to do this in the past on Old, old Windows. Please detail. Thanks.

Sometimes if my computer freezes and I need to reboot, I lose my history from that day? Any chance that happened yesterday morning?

Look at the top and click on "tools" then click on "internet options" Look toward the bottom in the space called "History" it should tell you how many days it keeps your history.
