Re: the most controversial artifacts
Seems to me the horn thing was debunked a while ago, but it got me wondering.

If you irritate bone regularly, it'll start to form a little bump. So if you kept doing it, and it was part of your culture or something, maybe part of the royalty process, maybe it would be possible, after long enough and with considerable practice to get it right, to actually "grow" horns like that.

I'm assuming that it would take generations and a lot of patience, but after a while, like those girls in Africa with the rings around their necks, maybe some folks came up with a tradition of growing horns.

It would probably be quite the advantage, for a while, when it came to fighting other tribes, because you'd look like devils or whatever. On the downside, that fear might ensure your extermination eventually, when enough others banded up to "kill the devils".

Perhaps? Maybe, instead of my suggestion, they terrified humanity into submissiveness, and became the god-kings of old, behind the scenes, but ruling all?

(Has a nice cinema ring to it, if nothing else.)

All those old images of horned people, perhaps they got creative with their horny heads ( chuckle ) and grew different forms of bone, and some of those old statues of people with Statue of Liberty style spikes were actually real people?

And for whatever reason they've hidden for years, and they're shaping society to whatever purposes, and they'll emerge sometime in the future, once again embracing their role as god-kings?

(Almost every ancient society has a tradition that at one point there were a group of gods who were overthrown by men...maybe some of that is truth?)

It would be weird enough if the foot had six toes, six fingers and a foot just freeks me the fuck out.

Re: the most controversial artifacts
I do believe that artifacts like these exist and are not a hoax, and I believe there are more bizarre archeological findings out there that never made it to the public's eyes because of particular reasons.

I know a person who once visited the Onassis family private museum, it's full of artifacts, but only one thing struck him and remain in his memory until today. It was a mummified human, 7-8 feet tall, with REAL WINGS attached to it's back. The mummy is ancient and was believed by Aristotle Onassis to bring him good luck.

What could that be? Result of ancient genetic engineering? Human with bird DNA mixed in them? Creature from another planet? It remains a mystery.

The Vatican was the world's largest land holder and probably still is. The World bank has immense financial influence and if there's anyone with an interest in artifacts, then it would be them.
So I wonder why the 'angel' mummie is part of the Onassis fortune and not with everything else they have.

They say a person could spend a life time in the Vatican catacombs. I think it would take a lot longer than just one life time.
Holy cow! It's the woowoo patrol!
