STRANGE VERY BRIGHT STAR LIKE THING.
Have always loved the stars and staring up at the night sky, recently spotted a much brighter object than i've ever noticed before. I am aware of the presence of Jupiter and Venus, this new object seems markedly brighter than anything i've observed before, its seems to glare and undulate. Friends who i've observed it with also seem struck by its vividness. After recently reading about the brown dwarf 'Nubira' and its eliptical orbit, was wondering if this could be the giant on its return. If its not, what is it please???

Sorry to correct you but it's Nibiru.

So where are you, OP?

What part of the sky and what time did you observe this bright star?

I really noticed the same thing last week.

We even commented on how bright it was. Close to the moon and shining bright even when there were no stars out.

Surely there is an astronomer out there to help.

Check neave.com's planetarium to pinpoint what the object is.

[link to www.neave.com]

If it's only visible around sunset/sunrise and the short time before and after, it's possibly Venus.

I've noticed the dog-star, Sirius has been surprisingly bright recently.

I can only hope its Nibiru and that the real Annunakis come back and save the Palestinians in Gaza. Go ahead and laugh, nobody else seems to be able to.

Venus is South West-ish, Pluto is almost directly South, nothing else really looks bright enough to be 'it'.

I think it's only Venus. Nevertheless it is being discussed in many forums with different answers.

Re: STRANGE VERY BRIGHT STAR LIKE THING.
I say Venus as my answer.

Much like the Moon, Venus has phases when viewed from Earths perspective.

So its luminosity will vary.

Sometimes appearing brighter than other times depending on its position in relation to the Earth and the Sun.

Right now its phase is nearly full so it appears brighter.
