What part of the sky and what time did you observe this bright star? ______ "And I understood that in an age where there was so much ego, because of the camera, that it was very important to look for that kind of player, ... I began to look for the kind of player that doesn't need his ego fed by stardom, but will do what he's supposed to do because he knows the game and loves the game, and will do the job the right way even if someone else gets the glory." ~ Bill Belichick ------------------------------------- Pale Blue Dot [link to www.youtube.com] 2001: A Floyd Odyssey [link to www.youtube.com] Who's In Control? Even when its cloudy outside and there are no stars out...that star is the only one i see. Its usually by the moon. Dont know anything about it though. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 568349I really noticed the same thing last week. We even commented on how bright it was. Close to the moon and shining bright even when there were no stars out. Surely there is an astronomer out there to help. |

So its luminosity will vary. Sometimes appearing brighter than other times depending on its position in relation to the Earth and the Sun. Right now its phase is nearly full so it appears brighter. ______ "And I understood that in an age where there was so much ego, because of the camera, that it was very important to look for that kind of player, ...
