If the earth was an imperfect sphere we would see the Horizon at different distances around the world. Some countries would have a closer Horizon, others, further.

But if you'd see the same boat at that same precise time and distance with a pair of binocular you'd see the bottom appear in your lens, but if it was truly the curvature then no matter how powerful your binoculars are you couldn't see the bottom of the boat, because as you know only Super-Man has x-ray vision.

Curvature of the earth causes the bottom to disappear first.

Binoculars or a telescope will NEVER allow you to see what has dropped below the horizon if your point of view remains the same.

Field of vision has nothing to do with the subject. You refer to range of vision. Yes, our eyes have a limited range, but binoculars and telescopes increase our range of vision but will not allow us to see what is over the horizon.
