malu User ID: 578235 United States 01/12/2009 05:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i have spent most of my life on lake michigan, swimming, sailing, fishing, surfing, and in the winter, doing the ice bergs my grandma had a home on the beach and she had quite the collection of things from ships that washed ashore. it is so funny, but most people do not realize the great lakes are really inland seas, i have seen and been in 10-15 foot waves thousands of times. you might find this clip interesting OP, a good friend of mine is a movie producer, and fellow surfer/beach volleyball player, this is about surfing the great lakes: "By way of deception, thou shalt do war." hmmmmm User ID: 588954 United States 01/12/2009 05:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | you said - nearly 40 planes have disappeared over Lake Michigan too. Probably the most famous is northwest airlines flight 2501 that took off from New York City headed for Minneapolis in June of 1950 and plunged into Lake Michigan just off Benton Harbor. No one survived. SO.......... This famous plane that disappeared was somehow found to determine that there were no survivors and even though it disappeared it plunged, or crashed into Lake Michigan........did it disappear of just crash - because, OMG, if it crashed that would be perhaps the greatest mystery of all time.... eh??? |
hmmmm User ID: 588954 United States 01/12/2009 05:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | you claim the Michigan Triangle starts from the town of Ludington to Benton Harbor in Michigan; another links from Benton Harbor to Manitowoc, Wisconsin; the final side connects Manitowoc back to Ludington. Are you aware that a ferry runs from Manitowoc all the way to Ludington....has a ferry ever been lost, are the ferry operators just fucking with people trying to get them to disappear......and if there are so many things disappearing, how the hell are people finding the remains of ships, planes, and people........ Just wondering......and I agree with the 40 second poster - |

Sana User ID: 494870 Canada 01/12/2009 05:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Awesome Kyuubi- the whole region around the Lakes is rich with artifacts, petroglyphs, and now this 'stonehenge' site. When I was a little kid, the local newspaper (Lakehead) did an article and took some pics of my dad and me next to some petroglyphs close to where we lived. Sadly, a road was later built through the area- they blasted rock and covered it with tons of gravel. I still have the article, and have been trying to track down one symbol in particular- looks kind of like this: )+( but with the 'cross' upright longer and connecting the convex and concave lines. No luck yet. |
