Bill to require a permit to collect rainwater
Introduced by Sen. Paull Shin on January 13, 2005, to authorize the department of ecology to require any person using rain barrels and cisterns to collect rainwater to receive a permit from the department prior to collection of rainwater. Rainwater must be intended for beneficial use on the same property from where it was collected.

* Referred to the Senate Water, Energy, and Environment Committee on January 13, 2005.

your country is insane, iīve never seen politicians have so much power over the people, with little and often no resistance. at least in these so called "communist" places you do have uprisings, people militias, riots etc to keep the government on its toes. why hasnīt the american people done any of these things? it baffles me to hear so many americans say they know theyre living in a facist country and yet want someone else to do something about it?

Then you havenīt heard of the proposal to put rfidīs into automobiles to charge road use fees by the mile, rather than by the gallon.
My diesel VW runs on used cooking oil I get for free locally, I filter it and only have to use diesel to start my vehicle. (of course I must remember to switch back to diesel a couple of minutes before I shut it off, or itīs hell to start.)
These knucklehead politicians donīt realise how crazy they seem to be showing themselves, or they just donīt even care anymore.

Bechtel tried to do this to some people in Bolivia. The people stood up to them and chased them out of the country. Weīre such sheeple, we probably wouldnīt have that kind of intestinal fortitude.

Now, now, you shouldnīt get yourselves worked up over nothing citizens. The only reason we want you to have a permit is that we canīt have you collecting evidence...er, any contaminates that normally leech into the soil from normal rainfall.

I think it is already against the law to collect rainwater for personal use in many other countries.

They have been practicing:

"This was the third time in three years that such dramatic uprisings had occurred in Bolivia. The first was in 2000, when the people of Cochabamba successfully reclaimed their water from a subsidiary of California engineering giant Bechtel, which had raised rates by anywhere from 200% - 400%, and was charging people for wells, rainwater catchment, and irrigation systems they had constructed themselves, at their own expense."

Paull Shin is a Democrat, and is a Washington State Senator, not a US Senator...Other than the linked piece, there is nothing on the net or Washington state government sites about any SB 5113...

It never ceases to amaze me how you all take off on something as īgospelī without looking at even the most rudimentary facts...This link is to the senators and representatives from Washington state...The Senators are both women...

All urine must be reclaimed by the county. Do not piss in the toilet anymore, pissing in public is already punishable and expect a $500.00 fine and 10 to 30 days in jail. You must now piss in a govermint piss containement vessell, which is available for $6.99 from most Wallymarts.

*********
They already get you at both ends in most areas. Charge you for the water and then a separate charge for the sewage.

Charge you for being born, and when you die, and every step in between.

Re: Bill to require a permit to collect rainwater
Just words, nothing more. Iīd collect rainwater if I felt like it, and anybody that would be stupid enough to try to stop me would be shot. It is interesting that there are people ignorant enough to entertain such an idea. I think it has more to do with the simple fact that there are too many people in the US, the economy is shot, and there arenīt enough jobs. Itīs an extension of FDRīs "new deal," where the government invented thousands of useless jobs, and hired unemployed people to work at basically doing nothing of any real value, while at the same time taxing the people who did have viable jobs. That is what is still going on today. The "economy" (fantasy world) sucks? Well letīs pass some more laws and regulations, and hire some more useless slobs to enforce them, thus creating money for spending and thus sustaining this bullshit fantasy.
