My dog had constipation last year on Thanksgiving and the vet told me to give him a tablespoon of canned pumpkin. It has fiber in it. I gave it to him in the evening and he pooped the next morning like regular. You could call the vet and ask them before you give your dog the canned pumpkin and see what they say.

please go to the emergency vet............., please. i had a pet that this happened to and you must take care of it. i know a vet is expensive, but you made the committment to it when you brought it into your home.

p.s. do not give a laxative to your pet without direction from a vet. the dosages are not the same and you have no idea how much to give.

Feed it some prunes. If it doesn't poop, take it to the vet.
