Quoting: Anonymous Coward 593705With that in mind, How do I live well without a job and almost no money. Since you don't sound prepared, before you loose internet access, research intentional communities, ecovillages and WWOOF (willing workers on organic farms) - many of these have work trade options - room and board and they are found all over the US and World. A very good starting point and you'll be sheltered and fed. |

There aren't that many listed in the classifieds, but I had a friend who contacted all the new listings in the directory and came up with a lot of good opportunities. The new communities will always be looking for help. There are also many well established communities on the Internet who have regular work/stay summer programs. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 569913if you own a house what do you do if it burns down and you have no insurance possum living for the privileged few landowners with savings I knew this German guy when I was a kid whose home burned down, with no insurance. He and his family lived in a big army tent and two small travel trailers for 20 years while he built the second one with his own hands. He and his wife worked as grade school teachers. He barely finished it before he died of Cancer 7 years ago. Now, that's a man. You, are something else. That is a very good story. Makes you think about how much we all really take for granted. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1010415 United States 11/22/2010 06:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Q: what are the best overall antibiotics (Vet grade) for people? I'm not allergic to anything, btw. And how do you figure proper dosage? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 202319Don't know but I think it goes by weight of animal so I'd translate that to personal weight. Vet once sold me a small tube of antibiotic ointment for my cat's eyes. Sure looked the same as from a Rx. Depending on who works at the feed store, they may give you some hints. Buy an old Merck Manual at Amazon or something. |

The best bang for your buck is to buy Penicillin G inject able. It's about $7 for 100ml bottle at any feed store. Dosage is .05 ml per lb of weight. My kitties will NOT take pills and squirting the liquid antibiotics in their mouths turns into a huge mess. With injectable it's once a day, quick and easy. Stick em in the scruff and they won't feel a thing. I rescued a litter of kittens and their mom. They all had raging URI's. Would have cost me a small fortune taking them to the vet. Put them on once a day penicillin shots, plus some good food and plenty of water. They're all doing great and cost me very little. |

But one shot of antibiotic cost me $30!!! It wasn't penicillin. But some super strong one shot stuff. But 30 damn dollars!!! F-ing cat won't take pills or liquids. Thanks for the info on penicillian. Thank you. Thank you. Personal responsibility - try it sometime. Quit blaming others for your bad choices. Consequences happen. :enaid11: |
