Sometimes it is best not to know certain things, truths or details. Sometimes the brief overall details of a story, person, subject ect. is sufficient.

Sufficient for what? I think it depends on why one is gathering the information.
There is no right-wing conspiracy.
There is no left-wing conspiracy.

The spectrum of "left-wing" and "right-wing" is the conspiracy.

It depends is what you are saying and I agree. Some times too much information will only confuse the human mind or delay certain actions.

Remember the human brain will block out very painful experiences for a reason. In research, too much information can be helpful but can also send the paranormal researcher in too many directions to be productive.

I agree about why information is being gathered being a key factor.

Definitely. There are most definitely situations which require more decisiveness than others. Urgent military situations, for example?

I would say that is a tough one as the people in charge of governments and military do NOT usually have all the information they would like, so decisions are made with limited information but quickly...not what I would want to have to do.

This is why the fog of war is sometimes sited for bad decisions, also purposefull dis-information - at least that's what I've heard, because I don't know.

I guess I was referring to decisions on a battlefield as opposed to in an Oval Office.

I think we're on the same page, though. More or less.
