Not many understand the change, think it is unimaginative, the triangle shape is a play button, etc.

Dubuc pointed out that the network’s Web site has been www.history.com for several years now, and that moving to the name History also makes sense since the channel has extended its brand beyond linear TV, to the Internet.

Yes 571008, I agree that depending on an "ice berg" to do the job if it was a conspiracy is a very weak link. IF it was a conspiracy, I doubt that all the planning would include "find ice berg, hit it & hope it sinks". Ice bergs are a danger, so it is a perfect cover story, but doubtful as the cause. The Ice berg was their "Lee Harvey Oswald". It was in the area, could do the job & no one would ever be able to prove differently...

Take a look at the pictures of the hole and see if it looks like it "explodes out" rather than a puncture/tear. Not scientific of course, just interesting...

Sorry tommy777, just providing more information behind the change. This was just adding details the change in 2008 to a pyramid/capstone logo. It is of course still the new logo with the pyramid/capstone, that is "supposed" to represent a more updated look with a "play button" & the website added. It simply does not make sense to me as a marketing director to use a "play button" in your over all logo. Maybe for the website logo, but not as the main logo. Peace

Evidently, one of the great things about a conspiracy theory is that there's no burden of proof on people who support it. All they have to do is say "the Illuminati" control all the media and that seems to account for everything.

So here's my theory. The Illuminati hired the evil Jesuit Father Francis Browne, who was also an octopus trainer, to sink the Titanic. A giant octopus was trained by Browne to follow the Titanic until it got to the region of ice. Then Browne commanded the octopus to break the ship in half with its tentacles and sink it. This accomplished, Browne rode the octopus all the way to New York to report the sinking to his superiors there, laughing maniacally all the way. Of course, the sinking was conveniently blamed on an iceberg.

There you have it. The Titanic was sunk by a giant octopus.

The Illuminati told the survivors what to say at the two inquiries and uses TV documentaries on the Titanic just to make extra money.

Most people tend to believe whatever makes them feel comfortable. Anyone who has looked into the Federal Reserve system, the IRS, and the Federal Income Tax knows that the implementation of these are unconstitutional. Were not talking about 'money', or greed, were taliking about treating human beings as an energy resource to be harvested.

I feel that although there are alot of incomplete areas to this idea of the Titanic being used for ritual sacrifice, that it is possible that is just what happened. Unfortunately Steve most of the 'missing' areas dwell within whatever happened or didn't happen behind closed doors between powered elitists learding up to the time of the maiden voyage.

The Jesuits are a reality and have had a profound effect on the education of the USA and other countries.

The private bank that essentially own the USA is also a reality.

Bowman, I couldn't agree with you more on the FED, the IRS. To a strict constructionist like me, they are indeed unconstitutional, not to mention being the single biggest drag on our economy.

But I find the notion of the Titanic being used purposely to eliminate opposition to the FED to be highly, highly unlikely. As I mentioned before, there doesn't seem to be any solid evidence that Astor, Guggenheim, Straus, and the other millionaires aboard were even opposed to the FED in the first place. And since Isidor Straus was offered a seat in a lifeboat by one of the Titanic's officers, it doesn't appear to have been a well-conducted scheme, if that was the case. As I've also pointed out earlier, Guggenheim didn't have the capital to oppose the FED, and Astor's wealth was mainly tied up in real estate.

The claim by the original poster that Captain E.J. Smith was a Jesuit is false. He was a Methodist, and last time I checked, the Jesuits allow only Catholics to become brothers. I don't think it's likely that he took orders from anyone while in command of a ship.

I don't dispute the fact that plenty of decisions are made by powerful people behind closed doors, but these people are governed by logic--that's why they're powerful. And to cause a horrifically expensive and unnecessary disaster simply to pass a bill is not logical, whether one belongs to a secret sinister organization or not.

People do indeed tend to believe whatever makes them comfortable; that's human nature. I'm just one of those people who is guided by logic and facts--that's simply how I was trained to operate and that's what makes me comfortable.

Astor was a soldier and a very hands on type of guy. Typically bankers are more of the garden variety type A individuals. I could see Astor not wanting to go against the constitution due to his patriotism and sacrifice for his country.


It's all supposition though. Yeah, you may be able to asign a probability to the interpersonal aspects of it all but the best answer is really that it's unknown - need more info.

Funny how I have yet to see a reference to ANY primary sources confirming that John Jacob Astor IV, Benjamin Guggenheim, Isidor Straus, or any of the other wealthy aboard the Titanic had ANY vote on the Federal Reserve Act or indeed any interest in it one way or the other. As fervently as some people here believe this theory, it seems quite odd how little real evidence supporting it is being presented.

It's also interesting that the Jekyll Island meeting in which the Federal Reserve Act in its original form was conceived took place in late 1910, when construction of the Titanic was already well under way. How could the ship have been deliberately built as a murder weapon when she was conceived and designed in 1907, more than three years before the Federal Reserve Act was proposed? Titanic's keel was laid in 1909...

Smith`s mother was a methodist, which does not mean he was a practising methodist himself at a later age..(see my post before)

And: they did not have to have a vote on the federal reserve act itself...but, because they where rich, through their connections in congress and the like..
