I'm a pretty big sports zombie, but you don't really strike me as anything more than a scared, bitter human being who might get some credit for your ridiculous views on this website, but really don't give anything even remotely resembling a logical explanation for why us "sports zombies" are "slaves" to "masterbatory childishness." I am not into sports at all. I've probably never watched a whole football game in my life, but I'm not going to judge people who enjoy it.
Some people work hard all day, contribute to society and try to make the world a better place, if they want to kick back at the end of the day and watch some football, why would you have a problem with that?

I'm not telling anyone what to do. I'm simply pointing out tht pro sports is a massive distraction. All the rest of what you say is your own insecurity.

Either pro ball is a distraction TPBT use to keep people focused on the trivial or it is not. In either case, it's an impersonal observation unatached to our value as human beings. How is introducing the question an attack, or holier-than-thou, or all the rest of it?

You could actually apply your "distraction theory" to pretty much everything in life. So EVERYTHING is a distraction. But of course that would mean things you enjoying doing would fall into that mix.... couldn’t have that. So basically things you do not enjoy are distractions, albeit selectively.
