Report Copyright Violation | DOW Watch January 20, 2008 Futures point toward a down day! Will it happen? Futures point toward another down day but I am not buying this will be the case at the end of the day. There will be enough funny money thrown at the market by the PPT to ensure we have an up day today. I base this assertion simply on the fact that there will be an Obama inauguration bounce. Fundamentals have been ignored largely the past 6 weeks so what is another day to do the same?
Now after today I have reasonable confidence that we will see an increased unwinding of the market. Europes economy is in shambles and getting worse. Asias numbers are skewed and there are plenty of indicators that point towards a deepening crisis in Asia. Holiday season is over in the United States and this is the point in time where logical thought replaces holiday fantasy land. Thursday and Friday of this week are the days to watch.
