That guys is an alarmist, I read up to the breach part and the guy neglects to say that this breach is the magnetic reconnection! The breach happens when our fields align with the sun in a southward position (how many times am I going to have to say that...) Everytime the northern lights start up it means that a magnetic reconnection is happening and energetic particles stream into our atmosphere. While this is a strange thing for a field that protects us from the said particles to do, it is normal.

He's just using articles and information for his own purposes, how it suits him. Our field is fine, if it wasn't you and every other living thing would be dead. The issue here is not the field itself but rather what is causing all the anomolous activity. Please don't hijack this thread and turn it into some bs alarmist propoganda.
