Yes NIP is Candace and I watch the stuff too and there are many CME's off the front of the sun that are not seen, or detected and then you have NASA sites all the time posting we have CME's coming in on spaceweather that never materialize. As I suggested this one may get labeled a shock wave, we will have to see what they call it, but the coronal hole is yet to come that is facing us, and when (and if, because they fizzle out sometimes) it does the wind will soar.

Coronal holes do not manifest with protons of 70!!!!!! They are "wind events, not proton events. On the bigger ones, the protons might hit 20 or so. This event had 70.8 at it's height. And no wind initially, with gradual wind after the bulk of it is over. That is the pattern of a CME.


ALSO CANDACE IS NOT A HE, I AM FEMALE. I have two children (grown) which I did carry and birth. That does register me as female.

And I look alot like my avatar which I created, except when I created it, I didn't have the option of putting some white hair on top. I am 63 years old.

And yes I still work with starfleet, who would confirm this is a CME, except I have not asked them today, they are awfully busy on a long list of "to do's", as this planet is in serious shit.
