Anonymous Coward User ID: 1132991 Australia 01/02/2011 12:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How many who have died are still alive in heaven or whereever in the afterlife? According to many Christian, NONE as they are still dead, awaiting the Final Resurrection of the Body and the Life Everlasting. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 646448If you are right about this, there must be some way we can set them free from this side of the veil. It's just their false belief. It's not real, for pete's sake. Heaven recycles with Karma some of those souls need LOTS of distilling :-D |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 761425 Canada 02/19/2011 02:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How many humans have died since the beiginning of time (or recorded history) ? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 601558All of them, except 2 (Elijah, and Enoch). what do you mean by this? All souls live unless uncreated and no bodies ever go to heaven, these type here to not work well there. These ones fused with their thought adjusters, which causes the body to be consumed. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1269055well that is one of the serious errors of religion, including Islam. there is no hell, only nasty planets to live on until you earn the heaven planets. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 761425 Canada 02/19/2011 03:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have wondered how many people have died unnaturally, not just how many people have died. If you figure all wars, famines, disputes, diseases, poverty, malnutrition, accidents, and other causes, probably half of the 106 billion people who have died in the history of the world died before their time. Knowing this, if all of those people would have lived until their natural death, we would currently have a population around 20 billion, instead of just under 7 billion. Quoting: dbuls1238 851559if we got to 20 billion the world would have long booted us off, and tried that in fact after WW2 but the folks from heaven came and stabilized the planet. Hey Christians, did you know you have let over 20 million "non combatants" in Iraq and Afghanistan die from acts of genocide against those peoples by your government and military serving them? / |

Imheretoaddscience... User ID: 32499241 United States 01/18/2013 03:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 106 BILLION. Wow, Heaven must be overcrowding too,or Hell... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 294313from my understanding not many people make it to heaven. That means hell is overcrowded. Hell is finite contained space. since population is exponential then as more and more souls enter hell the pressure increases causeing an increase in heat. Hell just keeps getting hotter and hotter! Wrong. Hell does not get hotter and hotter. It gets colder. The increase in the number of souls can do one of two things. It can: 1. As you said stay the same size and increase in pressure or 2. Increase in size (volume) to account for the increase in souls. Having said that, we must admit that Satan is a god. Being so, he is all-knowing. And therefore not an idiot. So he would most likely create a space (Hell) that could allow for more souls to be fit as needed. So, as volume increases, the temperature actually decreases. In fact, by the time that you or I die and are placed into either Heaven or Hell, we will be going to a very cold place. Very cold. One way or another. On a side note, I'm probably going to Hell because I don't believe in a God. Or Satan. Or anything. Just (hence the name) SCIENCE! |

Don'tBeAfraid User ID: 32113282 United States 01/18/2013 03:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | While the Population Today article is interesting, it's impossible to say with any certainty. It's entirely based upon the age of the Earth, and when the first people lived. If you're a scientist, then you believe in hominids of various kinds including Neanderthals. There's Cro-Magnon, all the side branches including Homo floresiensis, modern Homo sapiens too. It's entirely possible we have other side branches that have never been discovered, as well a possibility that some side branches are happening now. If you narrowed it down to Homo sapiens, then still, the article is incorrect since it begins in 8000 BCE probably with Sumer, but there's also Gobekli Tepe which predates that, so that blows that out of the water. Beginning of time is an interesting statement. How do measure that? If you mean, the first day, then the first time the Sun shone and the Earth began an orbit around the Sun, then we're talking back billions of year ago. Recorded history which you have in parentheses would be probably Sumer not Gobekli Tepe ...maybe. The question is too imprecise to logically answer. There's no way to know the populations, not in any scientific way. If you reject Science and choose the Bible then still, there's no way to know. None. While some people were mentioned, then Abram met Melchizedek, that means the presence of other tribes. We know the children of Adam and Eve later married, and yet this implies other created beings, by logic. The Bible doesn't include a lot of details on this. While some fundamentalist might try to use it as a science book, it's not one. The question reminds me vaguely of "How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?" If there were that many people dead then there would be bones all over the place wouldn't there? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24919877 Where are the graves? Lots of graves from the 1500s or so, how about before that? Dude, not every bone lasts forever. Most of the bones of people and animals have been broken down back into earth and dust. A few are probably fossilizing as we speak, but of course not every skeleton is still hanging around... |
