Speaking for myself and living well below the gov't's poverty line perameters, I would put $15,000 or $10,000 or even $5,000 immediately into the economy.
I did not receive the Bush rebate last year and again, if I had, I would have immediately gone out into the market and spent it.
I think the American people are slowly, ever so slowly, catching onto how the gov't really works. All smoke and mirrors. No better example was the bank bail-out and the auto industry bail-out (and there will be more in this ultimate "good ol' boys club"). People, this is how Corporate Fascism works. The connection and inter-action between the gov't and the corporate world is seemless. They look out for each other and certainly not the ordinary man and woman in this society.
My favorite scam is how the government gives the bogus "tax breaks". That is pure fluff, just like all of our supposed leaders.
