So it wasn't an issue or mentioned.

They already had their food in tubes.

I am questioning the assumption that they do not.

But if YOU were naked on flat level ground with absolutely no devices, persons, etc. within a 500 mile radius...

While even the most humble bird with flight capability would have no problem flying to and fro.

The bird has an edge here.

The bird would have no problem flying out of your range of sight.

There is no such thing as "no one being around" when a tree falls in the woods. The BIRDS are always there and they always "hear the sound."
