Everything else...veggies/fruit/cereal, laundry detergent, etc...everything is rising in price, in a BIG way. I have to buy diapers which have gone up in price by $1.50 a box! Where I live in Ohio...a box of diapers is $21.50... |

I try to go once every 2 weeks for the main groceries and then pickup extra milk/bread ect. as we run out. Anyhow, after buying what I thought was not too much stuff...the bill rings up over $240! This amount of groceries would have cost me maybe $190/200 a month or so ago. Quoting: HeartSongAm I the only one noticing this???? Apparently. Here the prices are actually down on many things. Milk was almost $5 a gallon a few months ago, now it's advertised at $1.99. 4 12 packs of Pepsi products for $11. . |

Total before coupons and card store - $494.00 Total paid out of my pocket -- $113.50 The cashier said that those groceries should last me two months. I agree. are you getting coupons only from the sunday paper? Most of the time the coupons are only for name brand items where even if you use the coupon, the item is STILL more expensive than just getting the generic version. Or they make you buy 2 or 3 just to save $.50. So tell me how the HELL you cut out 3/4 of your cost JUST with coupons???? |

I use coupons but the ones we get in the paper are mostly useless. A few good ones, but mostly for things we don't use/need. Is there a good website to print some off? I would be willing to do that. I do use the store card and that save me some. I try and buy sale items and stock up when they are really having a good sale. |

Bless you for having used the cloth diapers but I know I won't do it. My son is going to be 2 on the 22nd of this month so hopefully we can get him out of diapers in the next 6 months or so! I got about $55 worth of free items straight from the manufacturer. (Go to their website and write them and compliment them on their food.) My store doubles coupons up to 99 cents and the store was having a sale on about 16 items on my list. All those .75 cent coupons that I had doubles to $1.50 off an item. It depends on what you buy and how much comes off. I am on coupon trains that get me coupons that I would not normally have access too. There are coupons that are .55 off one item and that doubles to $1.10. My store card savings alone was $48 off. Oh and remember, I am one of those blood sucking people who gets food stamps. Not really, I mean, the blood sucking part. We just started getting them in December and the coupons doubling, store card and food stamps I only paid $113.50 out of pocket yesterday for $494 in groceries. |

I wonder if there is one by me... |
