USE COUPONS!!!

Yesterday I went shopping....

Total before coupons and card store - $494.00

Total paid out of my pocket -- $113.50

The cashier said that those groceries should last me two months. I agree.






are you getting coupons only from the sunday paper?

Most of the time the coupons are only for name brand items where even if you use the coupon, the item is STILL more expensive than just getting the generic version. Or they make you buy 2 or 3 just to save $.50. So tell me how the HELL you cut out 3/4 of your cost JUST with coupons????


No, I am not getting coupons from only the Sunday paper. I got about $55 worth of free items straight from the manufacturer. (Go to their website and write them and compliment them on their food.) My store doubles coupons up to 99 cents and the store was having a sale on about 16 items on my list. All those .75 cent coupons that I had doubles to $1.50 off an item. It depends on what you buy and how much comes off. I am on coupon trains that get me coupons that I would not normally have access too. There are coupons that are .55 off one item and that doubles to $1.10. My store card savings alone was $48 off. Oh and remember, I am one of those blood sucking people who gets <b>food stamps.</b> Not really, I mean, the blood sucking part. We just started getting them in December and the coupons doubling, store card and food stamps I only paid $113.50 out of pocket yesterday for $494 in groceries.
