I don't understand this partial birth abortion thing. If you want to end a pregnancy why are you waiting until the fetus is almost ready to be born? Do it right away, or have the baby. If it is a case of a woman's life is in danger then you might have to chose, unless you are in some catholic hospital where they will just let everyone die. It is a matter of common sense, which, evidently, is not so common.

I tend to agree with you. I think these late term and partial-birth abortions are the most horrible of all. But I must confide that I have personl experience with a late-term abortion.

The woman I was with deliberately got herself pregnant by me, FOR A SECOND TIME, and concealed the pregnancy until the fifth month. At that point it became apparent to me that she was not to be trusted. I thought the first time had been a fluke. I did not want to see the truth, because I was very much in love, and could not comprehend that she was a vampire, who intended to use me, but had no love for me. It became all too clear though as the pieces came together. All the broken condoms. It was not poor manufacturing. She had been sticking pins through them. She stopped taking her pills. And the real kicker was she ADMITTED that she had intentionally injected herself with fluids my fluid from the used condoms on several ocassions.

Now all of that aside, I still wanted to believe that we were in love. But I had to put it to the test. There was no way that we could support a child, but I left the decision entirely up to her. I told her quite clearly, that I would do whateve I could to take care of that child, but that she would NEVER EVER get a single fucking dime from me in child-support payments. Even if I had to work off the books for the rest of my life. I was not about to be used, and I made that perfectly clear. Well. How quickly the truth came out.

Next thing I know I'm running her halfway across the state to a special clinic that does late term abortions.

Ummm where momma was does not MITIGATE the fact that the child was BORN LIVE AND THEN KILLED AFTER BREATHING...and THAT is why this is being looked into.

The United States is made up of many cultures, so thank goodness there are laws that prevent people like you making choices for people who live different lifestyles and have different beliefs. This has nothing to do with my life. I'm actually pretty happy considering my current straits.

But if you had seen the things that I have seen in life, then you would know like I do, that sometimes it is better for a person to have never lived at all, then suffered what so many of these kids endure. Not to mention all that pain that they turn around and put back onto the world as they grow up. You have to stop the cycle of pain and ignorance somewhere.

Abusive home, sexual and physical...moved in with my husband at 17 to escape one of many psycho step fathers...was forced to either marry my husband or move back home...(wasn't imancipated, didn't know of such things) marriage ultimately failed, affairs began, finally wound up pregnant...husband in a drunken and jealous rage one night, while brandishing his gun, threatened to go to father of unborn's house and kill him...also threatened to take existing children with a promise I would never see them again and no judge in his right mind would let me have custody of them...seeing the life of my husband, reponsible for the murder of the father of my unborn child, my existing children visiting him in prison...the shame and talk the scandal would cause in a small town...and myself helpless with a child no one wanted, and most would even shun because of my sin, and the final nail in my unborn's coffin...an empty promise by my husband to replace the child we were about to kill with one of our own...

I did something I swore I would never do...I agreed to stop the whole nightmare by taking the life of my unborn...little did I know then that I was merely stopping one night mare and about to begin another that will haunt me to my grave...will live with that decision the rest of my life. What I would have given to have seen even one pro-life person with a poster standing in front of the clinic on that fateful morning. One person to help my husband see reason and maybe rethink what he was forcing me to do:( What I would have given now to have been stronger then and fought for the life of my innocent child...


Ah yes. You and I have spoken before. Well, if you ask me, it sounds like you clearly made the right decision. I know it is diffucilt for you to accept that, and you rack your brains everyday trying to figure how things could have gone differently. But the truth of the matter is that by sacrificing the unborn, you saved many other lives from being destroyed, quite literally even.

It is only natural to be sad for your loss. But I truly hope you find the inner peace you deserve. Your decision WAS the right decision. What sort of life would that child have led? Something akin to or worse than your own? Would you really wish that on a child? And what of the living. Would you have destroyed the lives of your own living children, and those of the "other?"

Thank you for your compassion and understanding...but when I'm the one holding the murder weapon and by that, I mean making the very poor and irresponsible decision to have the affair in the first place...well, it's not so easy to forgive. You see, had this been a baby between my husband and I, I would have felt that I could have fought harder to save its life. Not only would keeping it not have hurt anyone else, but I would have not been on shakey ground to fight for its life. The hardest part is...there was ABSOLUTELY NO ONE to fight for that innocent life...not even its own mother...and that it just sad:(

Rest assured though...it is a mistake that will NEVER happen again.
