If I get enough money soon, I'll do that around Anctarctic Peninsula or so... Good idea; otherwise I reckon the Souith Island of NZ, but every good place must have been sold out after Y2K... Anonymous Coward User ID: 608865 United States 02/06/2009 07:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The bible talks about people trying to hid themselves underground and being faint out of fear in this time of the end. People will laugh and say the bible is a hoax. It has been accurate so far. The best thing you can do is get a relationship with God who created all things and has allowed this mess to continue for a specified time. That is your one and only option to be saved in the coming devastation. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 608825Time to party like iit's 2013 when NOTHING WILL HAPPEN, since there are neither Government programs nor prophecies extending that far into the furure.... Time to study the Bible now, great advice from one of the posters, I couldn't agree more. |

Quoting: Autonomous Howard 608855You'll probably need a government tunnel boring machine to dig there, though. I think the caves at Bora Bora, Afghanistan are quite good for the purpose... And may be also some other mountains like Urals and in Paraguay somewhere (far from the seas). If we dig bunkers on the "reverse slope" from where the tidal waves are expected, we are right.. Just get deep enough and store enough food and ammo. By about 2015 the world will be OK we hope. |

But you'd probably need to be quite rich, and hide your activities inside a maze of shell and holding companies, using blindfolded and drugged workers who are shipped in to the work site to do small, and specific tasks, then shipped out with fat cash paychecks and bonuses. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 608150 New Zealand 02/06/2009 07:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | definately the south island of new zealand, in milford sound, its a fjord. you wont need to dig though, there is only one way in, through a tunnel, easily blocked so no one can get in, it is completely sheltered, self sustainable, fresh water from a glacier waterfall that happens to run the towns generator, heaps of wild deer, pigs, birds etc, heaps of seafood. and has its own small airfield. Ans an old hotel is there that isnt in use, could probably keep a good community alive. most importantly there is a pub! And when the sea rises there a plenty of mountains to move up into. Or you could live on one of the big tour boats. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 537103 Canada 02/06/2009 07:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in northern Ontario. Less than a 100 miles north of me is where all rivers and lakes flow in the opposite direction towards the Arctic ocean. Anything south of that location and the waters flow towards the Great lakes and into the north Atlantic. If one was worried about floods then one would want to build a bunker at that location. BTW, there's nothing there but a sign telling you about what i just told you, otherwise, it's all wilderness. It's near Chapleau, on this map: [link to www.mto.gov.on.ca] |

We are our own administration in the likelihood-0.0000001% of what happens, but for THAT SORT OF EVENT, that number is HIGHLY SIGNIFICANT, so let's think about that... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 608841 United States 02/06/2009 08:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is not one. Back a few years ago on a trip home from work I was in prayer and was actually complaining to God about the rich making earth a place fitted for judgment and how they ripped of the people of the earth to use to make hidie holes to go and hide from the wrath of God in. I was of course alone in my ride and stil audibly I was told these exact words. Yes, I heard it with my ears, or at least it sure seemed that way. I was told, behold, it is their tombs of water. They will not leave the holes they hide in. So basically there is no reason to hide from the things to come. The answer is simple. Get right with God. You may say you don't believe in God, that is fine today. Tomorrow you will know. I am not saying tomorrow as in the day that follows today, but rather in a very short time all mankind is going to know there is a God. Some will change, others will steep deeper in the mire they are in now and be lost forever. The wake up call is so very soon. No preaching intended. Just wanted to say you can't dig a hole and escape what is going to happen. It will only amount to your having dug your own grave. Think this through. The earth is going to go through some serious shaking and if you're under ground when the earth shakes, what do you think will happen to you? Do you really believe rock and dirt can save you? Or anyone for that matter. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 537103 Canada 02/06/2009 08:08 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in northern Ontario. About a 100 miles to the north of me is a small town called "Chapleau". This is where the lakes and rivers switch direction and flow backward into the Arctic ocean. Anything south of that particular location, all the waters flow into the great lakes and then into the north Atlantic. There's nothing there but a sign in the wilderness telling you what I've just shared. A man could walk less than a 100 yards off of the highway and build a bunker without anyone in this world ever being the wiser. I know because I've scouted the area and there's nothing but wilderness for miles around. Take a look at this map to find Chapleau: [link to www.mto.gov.on.ca] Good luck. |

Scully User ID: 594877 Australia 02/06/2009 08:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Pretty pointless to dig a bunker. We live such a tiny speck of time that protection from death is an infantile thought. We are all going to die.....nothing, no fighting, no compromise will change that. Just enjoy what time you do have and quit making extra work for yourself. I suggest you watch How The Earth Was Made...it gives a wider perspective of life...human and otherwise. Here is a link to the final part...you can find the others yourself. [link to www.youtube.com] |

If you know a good location somewhere (especially in Australia) please let me know, I will then let friends know, and the humanity will have more of a chance.. BTW, myself and friends are considering asking around if any blonde virgins would like to join us in an effort of re-populating the world after... Write to me then. |
