I take the absence of discussion as a silent admission Israel is in reality ruled by the radical interests of those "settlers", people coming from all over the world to cut a piece of the cake "given to them". So the idea those settlers really need to pack up and leave ASAP if any peace is to be expected actually comes from a rather informed source I'd say.

Questions remains: why is Israel waiting with such a crucial strategic move? Is it really that bad as depicted in the 60 minutes clip, that Israel in reality is owned by those radical settlers' self interest? That IDF is so infiltrated by radical religious groups that it is unusable to enforce Israeli policy decisions?

Then the situation is far worse than I ever imagined.

The settlements are illegal, by international law. It is stolen land, and the palis have been squished into refugee camps, where the luxurious settlements overlook the poverty striken palis, no food, water, medicine, and are forbidden to travel on roads meant for Israelis Only, on stolen pali land.

And they wonder why there are wicked thoughts of revenge, because this has been a holocaust for the palis.

Palestine is trying to be recognized as a statehood, and if that happens, what Israel does and has done to the palis will have to be answered for in international criminal court.

Also, Hamas will have to answer for war crimes. IMO, this is the only thing that is ever going to stop the hate for eachother.

Jews should have a right to live anywhere. If someone said that Jews would not be permitted to live in your hometown, you'd say that was anti-Semitism, discrimination, bigotry, and yet the Palestinians are allowed to go on TV day after day and say that Jews have no right to live in the West Bank. That's anti-Semitism, discrimination, and bigotry.

Jews have been living in Judea and Samaria, the area commonly called the West Bank, for centuries, far longer than Palestinians have lived in the area. The only time Jews have been prohibited from living in the territories in recent decades was during Jordan's rule from 1948 to 1967.

The right of Jews to live in the West Bank is clear. The issue of whether they should live there is entirely separate. Israelis debate this among themselves.

Why can't their be Jews in the west bank?

Why is that? No other people in the world has the right to settle and live anywhere they please so why Jews?

The notion that people of Jewish heritage can come from all over the world to grab some land for themselves in the West Bank is absurd.

Luckily there are lots of Israelis that recognizes this as a major obstacle to peace, just like the Israeli foreign minister. Too bad the Israeli government still turns a blind eye to this.
