Get the government out of the auto industry, dismantle the autoworkers union, and get some CEO's and investors who actually have a "vested" interest in these companies and don't just won't to suck them dry like a bunch of fucking parasites.

Would be a good idea to put these cars in the driveways of all the houses that are empty in the U.S.

This reminds me of something that has always seemed eerie to me. I frequent a military base in So. Cal. (husband is in military and I go there to do my grocery shopping - different branch). Anyway, on the grounds of the base is a mssive car lot type of thing, with probably 1000 plus brand new cars on it. Windows will have protective plastic covering, etc. I've wondered if car dealers rent this property for their excess cars, but I doubt that the government would rent out such precious property of theirs. So if it's not being rented out, what are all these brand new, unused cars for?

So here's what CEO bailouts go for ... think you could get by on a million or so a day? Yeah, it's those lousy unions.

[link to articles.moneycentral.msn.com]

An Excerpt ... Minimum wage for 26,000 years
Here's another way to think about these enormous pay packages. Becoming a millionaire will probably only ever be a distant dream for the average American. But for these two CEOs, it was a dream that came true every single day last year, when each of them pulled in more than $1.1 million a day, before taxes. This assumes they worked all weekdays and took little vacation time -- as you might expect from a busy CEO.

Breadwinners in the average American household would have to work more than 51 centuries just to make what either of these two top execs earned last year alone. The average American household brought in $54,453 in 2004, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics

Like I said, the CEO's need to suck a big one also, but a very large percent of workers in the auto worker's make more than than "$54,453" a year, with no formal education other than perhaps high school and less than 10 years with the company, and they are not in sales. So sorry, it is the fucking criminal union as well.

Yess sirreee! In about a year I will be able to snag a nice pick-em-up-truck, to pull my travel trailer out into the stickers when shtf!

I bet in a year you will be able to buy a car for pennies on the dollar. They are just going to want to get rid of them, because they won't even be able to store them.

Fuk-em. I have no sympathy what so ever. Car manufacturers and dealers are just as fuked up as the greedy home builders were. They jacked the prices way beyond reason. Now they can suck nuts!

Well sugar, why don't you go and ask? You'll have to be careful so they don't think you're a terrorist. Try it like this:

Checkout operator: That'll be two hunnert dollars, ma'am!

You: Two hunnert dollars, here you are. That's military money that is! My husband's in the military you know. I'm not a terrorist, that's for sure!

Checkout operator: Uh, whatever. Here's your change.

You: Keep the change sweetcheeks. You did a fine job!

Checkout operator: Thanks ma'am, but we're not allowed to accept tips. And it's only 63 cents.

You: Sooooo... Howzabowt all them cars over in parking lot yonder!

Checkout operator: Oh you mean the giant parking lot full of cars? That's just the *INSERT ANSWER HERE*. They're not for FEMA to use to round everybody up, if that's what you're asking. Nosirreebob, they sure ain't FEMA round up cars they ain't!

You: Ok thanks bye! (RUN OUTSIDE)

most of the bases that rent out space for car companies are navy bases. Here in POrt heuneme navy base they have thousands of cars that are being stored there. Car companies do this because its one of the safest places to keep their inventory. They usually get shipped there.
