But Jupiter can't ignite because it is too small (by a factor of about 80) for there to be the gravitational acceleration to cause hydrogen fusion -- which, I assume, is what poor OPie means by "ignition".
This is true. Do you know that our sun makes up 99.8% of the mass of our solar system? Look it up, should be in wiki. By a comparison; the sun is a bowling ball were the other planets are ping pong balls. Well Jupiter may be a light golfball; but nowhere near to igniting.
Missing one point in the argument. Jupiter does not ignite by itself. It is the Creator who does it!
