Since I could contemplate these things, I have always maintained that I am a populist AND an elitist at the same time.

We CLEARLY see that reality sucks and HAS sucked world-historical eggs for AGES; you don't.

We know you know better. We turn our eyes from the tragedy.

Our secret is that yes, we are selfish, we are snobs, and control freaks, and mean. We hide because we need to be seen. We need that person who inspires our depraved fantasies and unleashes all our sluttiness. We blush, check out the ground, and otherwise look like doormats because we are EMBARRASSED FOR *YOU*, actin' the fool so often, that you don't let things pass through you. We hold back shyly all the time because we know what the base human animal is -- we know that we can fucking zero in on all your weaknesses and ANNIHILATE you. You will never know us.* We are fucking awesome. You are doomed.
