Just got a call from the CIA

Holy shit!!!

SO I get to work this morning, check my e-mails and then start looking at the threads here.

While perusing the threads I get a call on my cell phone. No number is displayed. It just says 'unknown caller'.

It is my work cell so I identify myself when I answer.

The person on the other end of the call identifies herself and says, "I am with the CIA."

I almost shit myself.

Then she starts talking about the VWEA (Virginia Water Environment Association) and the committee that I chair for them and our upcoming seminar we host annually.

Holy fuck?!?! What the hell have I done?

Then she says, "your committee has given us an award and I wanted to see about attending the luncheon to recieve it."

The committee is Industrial Waste & Pretreatment. We recognize industries with perfect compliance records each year and I had totally forgotten that a CIA facility was on the list this year.

I started laughing and told her that I was looking at a conspiracy based website when she called. She got a chuckle out of that.

So I gave her the information she needed. Then, she jokingly(?) said, "you really should logout of that site and get back to work, you never know."

Then, she laughed.

Just thought you guys might find this amusing. I mean, how many of us here might expect to get phone calls from the CIA?
