Why doesn´t Jesus "call" me?

I have prayed for salvation. Jesus, I say in prayer, if you are there and I am wrong about you please call me back into the fold. I have even asked Christians, both in person and through this forum, to pray for my salvation.
Where is he? Why am I not back in the fold? Is God mad at me? Am I not seeking with all my heart? And what does that mean anyway - seek with all your heart? Does it mean to surrender logic and common sense?
I don´t want to burn in hell...

Too funny, I´ve been praying something like that just about every night for a long time. If I´m wrong, show me now. I want to make amends if I´m going in the wrong direction. Seriously! And yet, instead of finding truth in messages of accept Jesus or burn in fire forever-I´m finding more truth in other things, like that book on Amazon you were talking about last night, Dr. I read a bunch of the customer reviews of that first book-and THAT is what made sense to me. Hearing that all ways lead back to the source-THAT is what I feel is truth.
Look, I do believe in God. I do! And I know he knows my heart. How can I stand here and say things about my feelings for Jesus that just plain aren´t true-lies from my mind!-when He sees into my heart and knows I´m not truthful. Wouldn´t He, as my father be even more disappointed in me?
No. I will keep searching-and I will keep praying for help. But Christian dogma just isn´t coming to me as the truth. Sorry. |

Point well taken, Doctor. I think there are a lot of people out there who have seriously opened their hearts and prayed, just like the born-agains tell you too, and Jesus does not reveal himself. Then the born-agains say: "you must have did it wrong." |

Could it be the WAY you have been praying? You say, "IF you are there" I don´t believe that Jesus feels the need to prove He exists as He has already done so. You must truly believe in Him before you will receive your answer.

Dr. N, pray for discernment, and for new eyes in which to see the world around you differently. And find ways to love too. Love the guy on the corner with the sign, love the grocery store clerk, love the guy in the mirror.

Because the whole Christian thing is not true.
