Considering the long thread concerning his ´devil signal´ earlier on GLP, and now this post (please note OP I´m not reading anything into your post about your motives) something confuses me.

If it was a Norwegian giving some hand signal that Americans didn´t understand and we complained about it, we would be accused of being ignorant and insensitive of other nation´s cultures.

If the situation is reversed it´s some kind of major issue.

What´s up with that?

I have no motives. I posted it as I was reading many news articles, as I do every day, because I thought some of you here might find the foreign perception aspect of the topic interesting.

It is not difficult to know what hand signals mean around the world. Bush has protocol people around him to make sure he doesn´t goof up. And if you knew that a certain hand signal was a satanic hand signal for the rest of the world would you be so stupid to use it and would your handlers let you? Think about it and don´t be fooled.

I think it was Nixon (but could be mistaken) who got off a place somewhere and used the we´re number one hand signal but to that place it was like giving them the middle finger and saying F Off. They didn´t make that mistake again.

Are you suggesting that it ISN´T a sign that football fans in Texas make, or that instead of being a sign for a football team, it is even in that context only a satanic hand signal?

If it is just a Texas football sign, why does his wife do it? Or other people in power? The sign of the horns DOES show allegiance, but not to a football team! Buy a clue, or borrow one if you are destitute.

It is not just a small place in the world who regards this signal as satanic. It is the majority of the world. Maybe Texans have been duped into believing it means something else but that is not reality. Check out the pics in that URL. It is not just Texans who use that. Google it up. It may be the sign for Texas, but worldwide it´s recognized as the sign of the Devil, anyone knows that. If you don´t then there´s something wrong with your view of reality.
