Weird - Totally know the buzz word but can't think of what they are involved in. Until I can come up with a better question, answer me this. Is there a secret handshake? |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 614007 United States 02/18/2009 10:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Are Masons the same as Illuminati? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 617883Thats a good question and one that I have read a little about. Freemasonry existed during a period in the 1700s where "secret societies" came into fashion in Europe. There were quite a few different societies and fraternal orders of which the Illuminati was one. Other than having existed and been in fashion during the same time, they are not related. Freemason's don't identify as being part of that group. I don't actually know if any group does, but if they do, they certainly are living up to the "secret" part of a "secret society" Cheers! |

NEVER TRUST A FREEMASON, NEVER EVER. They do not represent themselves or free people, they are bound as slaves to the masonic movement. A freemason is as free, as the Federal Reserve is Federal. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 617699How many times have you worn your robes? I bet you pennys to dollars it is the exact same number. Freemason's don't perform magic. We do have rituals that are of symbolic importance and they draw on various historical periods. It can be very dramatic but there is no religious significance. I don't know how many times I have worn a robe. Too many to count. |

I don't know how many times I have worn a robe. Too many to count. Then you are a diss info agent or a fool, you have no value or worth to anyone except those who use you in there magic. The only reason to where robes is to perform magic, there is no other reason to wear special cloths, unless you are performing special activivites. Tell the grand master of your lodge that a crazy person who claims that freemasons perform magic, ask him if it is true, and before you do, do not break eye contact with him, he will tell you the truth, or you will watch him lie. I know this, because I practise magic, and I wear special robes, and I perform the same ceremonies that you do, only, I, never, took, an oath. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81537[link to www.psiwars.net] and [link to www.sinj.com] and Why is this ebay auction for the Freemason Encyclopedia listed under occult section? [link to cgi.ebay.com] The artwork has multiple masonic symbols in them. The circle point, square, compass, level, eye, sun and moon, the pillars, and geometric black and white checkerboard floor all have meaning. I won't go into all the details as they are very allegorical in nature but would encourage anyone interested to look up the terms I gave above for some more info or go to your local lodge. I don't know why the encyclopedia is listed in the occult section.. My guess is that it would give the item a little more gravitas than just "Masonic Encyclopedia". |
