Fatima. For those who still aren't aware it was a fake...
The three 'secrets' written down my Sister Lucia were only written down in the early 1940's after being asked to do so by a Bishop. (The Church needed some 'good' propaganda at the time I guess.)

The first two accurately 'predicted' the end of the first world war and the second world war. Imagine that! Predicting something after the event had already occurred!

The third one was mindless jibberish, interpretable in many ways. Great fodder for the foolish believers.

Also, back when the children were supposed to have seen Mary, a 'great miracle' is said to have happened. Little Lucia, after telling the crowds that there would be a miracle, suddenly exclaims, 'Look at the sun!' and 'some' people claim to have seen it dancing around. Now, if you go out on a bright sunny day, and try looking at the sun, you'll start to see it dancing around too, as your eyes instinctively try to look away. (This is not recommended if you wish to retain your eyesight!)

This is all as is recorded. Look it up if you like.

I believed this lie when I was young. I even denied that the carbon-dating of the shroud of Turin to the 13th century was correct. It took a while for the fact that powerful, well-known people in such positions of authority can flat-out lie to keep their positions. It's disgusting and sad. But so few accept it still. Which is also sad.

Re: Fatima. For those who still aren't aware it was a fake...
I have a feeling this was very genuine.

What I AM curious about, is why the heavenly host felt it was important that all those people witnessed the sun anomalie (to make people pay attention). I also find it strange that the children were given the first two secrets which were safe to be released and proven true, and the final secret - with instructions to be released.... which then never was. I think the reason for this is to make the people to question the motives of the vatican. A lot of people woke up after this, the pope was commanded by the Virgin Mother (a heavenly request) to release this secret to the public.

The naughty Vatican did not do, as the Holy Mother requested.

If you understand the coming crossing of the galactic plane my opinion is it could be very much like this event. It could be paper thin and happen in an instance appearing like the sun falling.

Also if you look at the archetype of John Peniel you will understand the third secret. It wasn't about John Paul but about one yet to come.

What is the point of mocking and insulting other people's religions? Believe what you want; does what someone else believes threaten you so much that you have to behave like a total asshole?

What DO you believe so that I can bash it for you?

P.S. I am not Catholic, but such disrespectful behavior simply disgusts me. Keep your venom to yourself. The rest of us are really not interested in your fucking opinion.

Thank you, OP for the post.
Everything to do with the Bible is a fraud.
"Mother Shipton" prophesies are another fraud, written after the time.
There are no prophesies that have come true. The closest was Nostradamus' "Hister" for "Hitler" which is very remarkable and the most extraordinary of all prophesies.

But for the rest, where it's PROVABLE that it was written before the time, no prophesies have come true. You would expect a few "hits" through good luck but when it comes to the Bible, it's a particularly unlucky book as it seems to have not had luck on even minor issues. All the prophesies have failed which is particularly unlucky.

Bout time this one was debunked too. Thanks OP.

It's not about flaming other peoples' religions - it's about a) getting to the truth, b) recognising how damaged we've been by all the lies and deceptions and c) finding ways to recover.

I know two scholar priests (one a roman and the other a methodist) who were unfrocked/excommunicated when their academic research showed them conculsively that most of what the church peddles is hocus-pocus. They started speaking up about it and writing books etc. Their churches dumped them.

Foolish, foolish people.
When will you awaken?

In the apparition of July 13, 1917 the Lady warned the three children that if people did not stop offending God, He would punish the world "by means of war, hunger and persecution of the Church and of the Holy Father," using Russia as His chosen instrument of chastisement. She told the children that "to prevent this, I shall come to ask for the Consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart" and promised that, by this single public act, Russia would be converted and peace would be given to the world.

The Lady cautioned that if Her requests were not granted, "Russia will spread its errors throughout the world, raising up wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer and various nations will be annihilated."

This event occurred 3 months before the Bolshevik Coup took over Russia, and with it cam Communism and the deaths of tens of millions of Russian Christians in the next two decades.

Revelation 13

3And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

Bro, there is a spirit world. But this is a deception.

I've been saying this for a long time and will continue to say it.

Link?

How do 75,000 people get sopping wet on a day that the sun was visible. Rain perhaps? I don't know. Was part of the miracle a parting of the clouds to make way for the event? Why wasn't this documented? Whoops.

Where do you get your info? Sounds like a total fabrication or the end of a very long chain of Chinese whispers. No really - the fish was this big!

BS.

I don't think you realise how carbon dating is performed. They must completely wash and remove all external matter from their samples before performing the tests. The carbon information is stored within the fibres of the material and cannot be washed out with the methods they use. It has been performed thousands of times on artifacts with known dates and is very accurate.

By the way, there were three groups who performed separate tests and the results all agreed.

wrong!

The third secret of Fatima was about the great apostasy, what St. Paul called "mistery of iniquity"

third secret was meant to warn us about Benedict XVI (try to recall who silenced Sr. Lucia, who approved or not all the apparition, who sealed Sr. Lucia room after her death ...)

however if you don't believe me it's enough doing some google work:

Cardinal Ciappi, Cardinal Ottaviani, Father Alonso, Malachi Martin, John Paul II, Paul VI and the same Ratzinger in 1984 (Jesus monthly magazine) told that third secret was about a future (not anymore now) Pope (the man of lawlessness in 2 Thessalonians)

if you really wanna discover the truth about the entire cover-up made by Vatican to discredit the secret a good point to begin with is:

I'm sorry Christians. I'm very, very sorry. I know how it hurts. Lies hurt when they are exposed. We feel used and abused. We don't want to find out that we've been lied to, and so we deny and grasp for anything to support our belief in the lie.

This is not a condemnation of your religion. (There are many others who are happy to do that!)

I know that you look to your religion for comfort, but you must realise that in every organisation their are people that lie to promote themselves and their organisation.

Miracles are a form of propaganda. If you claim them, as physical events, unlike the existence of God, you must be able to prove them. And you cannot. At best, you have hearsay. No proof. The evidence points to a lie. Humanity cannot progress if it continues to manipulated. Our denial makes it easy for us to be manipulated, and unfortunately there are those that will use that.

I know. I sound condescending. I just don't want to be too harsh.
