I love this prayer because...
1. It askes Jesus to take control of your whole life. It allows Jesus to use you for His glory.
2. It inspires the prayer to "forgive" anyone who has ever hurt them. That brings healing to the person saying the prayer and allows God to answer their prayer.
3. It prays for the "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" which gives christians the POWER to walk as Jesus did - with signs and miracles.
4. It prays the protective blood of Jesus like a blanket on the persons body, posessions, and all that they do.
5. It fills the prayer with faith and love by reminding him/her of the promise of eternal life.
6. It speaks the term "Lord Jesus" which leads to eternal life if the prayer was not already saved. And,
7. Like most prayers, it concludes with "Amen" meaning "It is so." In other words, when a person says "Amen" she/he is speaking into existence whatever the person is saying. Thus, all things said in this prayer - by faith - are true. That's why I love this prayer and have said it many times. I also know that it has been a blessing to many other christians!

Father, I abandon myself into your hands;

Do with me what you will

Whatever you may do I thank you

I am ready for all, I accept all

Let only your will be done in me and all your creatures

I wish no more than this, O Lord

Into your hands I commend my soul;

I offer it to you

With all the love of my heart

For I love you, Lord,

And so need to give myself,

To surrender myself into your hands

Without reserve and

With boundless confidence,

For you are my Father

This is the prayer we say when we put our little ones to sleep:

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
May angels watch me through the night
and guide me to Eternal Life. Amen.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever.
Amen.

Our kids love it and Jesus does too!

Maybe this will help, too:

Do Not Look with Fear from Saint Frances de Sales

Do not look with fear
on the changes and chances of this life;
rather look to them with full faith that as they arise,
God – whose you are – will deliver you out of them.
He has kept you hitherto.
Do not but hold fast to His dear hand,
and He will lead you safely through all things;
and when you cannot stand, He will bear you
in His arms.
Do not anticipate what will happen tomorrow.
The same everlasting Father who cares for you today
will take care of you tomorrow and every day.
Either He will shield you from suffering or
He will give you unfailing strength to bear it.
Be at peace, then, and put aside all anxious thoughts
and imaginations.

 Quoting: Jesus Lives 551719

This is what I hear Jesus saying in my prayer time:

Summer 2008: Many times the Holy Spirit is telling me that "Obama wins." Looks like we are heading into an Obama-Nation.

Nov. 6, 2008: "Obama is a spirit" Many people in our nation our now looking to the government to fulfill our needs instead of to God. They will be gravely disappointed.

Nov. 7, 2008: "The New World Order is coming." The Holy Spirit told me this just yesterday. As I stated earlier, God usually says something to me every day. His words can be as simple as speaking about something that will happen in my daily life to something much more profound. This latest statement yesterday compels me to begin posting what the Lord is saying to me. If you do not understand the implications of "The New World Order" then you may want to google the term to discover how dangerous this will be for the church. I also know that youtube.com has a clip of President Bush 41 proclaim "The New World Order" bringing "peace" and "security" to our world. These things will usher in the Great Tribulation.

Thanksgiving Day, 2008: "Time is short, Eddie"

December 2008: "Something terrible is going to happen."

"Hunker down." Had to look this one up. I knew it meant something like: 'be careful.' It actually means "To dig in or settle in for a SUSTAINED period." I did not know that! I believe that God is telling me to become as self-sufficient as possible.

February 9, 2009: "Your country [USA] is bankrupt."

March 3, 2009: "Nuclear War, Ed." A month or so earlier He said, "Pray for the whole world."

March 6, 2009: "There is not enough economic aid."

March 7, 2009: "President Obama is dead." [I have no idea about whether this is just spiritually or perhaps indicating a future assasination.]

April 22, 2009: "Another broken-arrow." Broken Arrow indicates a stolen or lost nuclear weapon in hostile hands.

May 2009: "The dollar will burn." "War is comming" to the USA. He also said, "Everything is going to crash." I believe He is talking about the world economy and fiat currencies. Of course, they have to crash relative to something else - I think - and that would be silver and gold [God's money].

An Act of Contrition

O my God,
I am heartily sorry for having offended You,
and I detest all my sins,
because I dread the loss of heaven
and the pains of hell,
but most of all because they offend You,
my God,
who are good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve,
with the help of Your grace to confess my sins,
to do penance and to amend my life. Amen.
