One major reason: FEAR. Go up to any average human and ask them what they would do if they saw a UFO land in their yard at night. Or if an alien knocked on their door. They'd be scare shitless. Unfortunately our species has been trained to fear aliens and extra terrestrials because of the stupid movie industry.

Another reason is probably because they know ET's are much more advanced than us in every way possible, and don't want us learning too much from them. So they train us to fear and hate them and think of them as demons.

A shame, really...

JERUSALEM (JTA) -- A natural phenomenon called -sprites- may offer an explanation for UFO sightings, a Tel Aviv University professor said.

Sprites, a flash of light high in the atmosphere 35 to 80 miles from the ground and up to 10 times higher than a regular lightning bolt, last for a fraction of second and only occur during thunderstorms, according to Professor Colin Price, head of the Geophysics and Planetary Sciences Department at the university.

The phenomenon has existed for millions of years, but was first discovered and documented in 1989.

Sprites, which only occur in conjunction with thunderstorms, never occur on their own and are cousins to similar natural phenomenon dubbed by atmospheric electricians as elves, goblins and trolls, Price said.

Price and his students are working in collaboration with other Israeli scientists from The Open University and The Hebrew University to take three-dimensional pictures of sprites to gain a better understanding of their structure, using remote-controlled, roof-mounted cameras overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

There has been much written about studies concluding that disclosure would lead to mass suicides and chaos.

I am a full fledged member of the lunatic fringe and I believe that many of our problems are due to a shadow group of evil people trying to control the world.

I also believe that there are many good people on the inside who know the truth and agree with the reasons for keeping it covered up. I am 56 and have been looking for answers since I was a kid. My dad was into UFOs and we had books about the house as I grew up. I don't know all the answers, but I've learned a few things over the years.

The real nature of our reality is so far removed from what most people believe and are comfortable with that to spring it on them would indeed cause mass hysteria. On the other hand, the time is fast approaching when that is exactly what will happen. The struggle is between those who want to cling to their power and control and those who would prepare us to receive the truth. To disclose too much too fast would play into the hands of those who would control us. Nothing would suit them better than to have a situation of mass panic and chaos that they can exploit.

The reality that we're heading toward at breakneck speed is beyond anything we can imagine and it is going to be very tricky to get from here to there while preserving as many souls as possible. God help us!

Why is it people who film unidentified flying objects find it impossible to focus a camera. It is simple enough to set a camera on infinity (which is what is usually required).

As for people who take photos and vids, they have a lot more credibility than you do, in spades.
