Quoting: Anonymous Coward 594943I wouldn't worry too much, it could always be worse and you could be paying what us Canadians are paying for smokes. Come back and whine when you're shelling out over 10 bucks a pack, then we'll talk. Wouldn't it be great to heal the world, with only a song? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 585054 United States 02/25/2009 05:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | increase in TAXES... Again, Banned smoking is being asked to make up the tax revenue short falls in many states where you cannot smoke in public. They know that most smokers will bite the butt and not quit smoking. I look for prostitution to be legal and TAXED in at least a few more states by the end of the year. |

Every one of you maggots that throw cigarette butts out the window should have your face sprayed with sulfuric acid. Nothing pisses me off more when a cigarette lands on my windshield from some jerkoff. |

Thats the difference between smokers and non smokers, smokers keep the yucky stuff inside while people like this need to spew disgust on half the population.. |

You sit behind each other at red lights, and stop signs, all the while huffing a colorless, smokeless fume from cars in front of you. You really have no room to talk, none at all. Good! I hate you smokers. Every one of you maggots that throw cigarette butts out the window should have your face sprayed with sulfuric acid. Well I am a smoker who will be quitting April 1st. I do not throw cigarette butts anywhere but in an ash tray or in a garbage can after I have stripped it. I learned long ago in Army Basic Training from picking up other peoples butts and through common sense not to litter. I respect other peoples rights and do not smoke around non-smokers. I am a decent person and you my friend are an ignorant asshat. One way to get the most out of life is to look upon it as an adventure. William Feather |

Alcohol is SO affordable! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 594943Alcohol is next to be taxed. They're not going to make that much on smokers. Politicans are too fond of spending someone else's money to stop at smokers. Alcohol next, fat foods after that, overweight people after that, and so on. There's just no end to what they're going to tax next. |

A. Smoker User ID: 604086 United States 02/25/2009 06:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I took the time to read the tax increases in the SCHIP law and buried way in the back was a mandate for treasury to check in 1 year for any increase in smuggling and evasion... they are anticipating that as well. This will crash my own personal economy into the red... what essential services will I cut to pay for the new tax? I'm already maxed out as it is. I regard this law as a very personal kick-in-the-nuts when I'm down. What the f@@k are they thinking? This is one smoker that USED to be a Democrat. They haven't gotten my vote for several years now because they suckup to tobacco control so badly. I'd like to see the health care issue dealt with but not like this. |
